Why do we love capturing events? Everyone loves getting their photo taken. They are in the mood, they are having fun and there is action at every turn. Our job is to capture this vibe, the details and also consider the marketing requirements for the next one. This year at Fitzy's Toowoomba Brewoomba Beer Festival the crowd didn't disappoint. From the pretzels, to the wild shirts and beer showers all connected through live music...it was a great day. Look out next year...

Hmmm how do I use this thing??? Only joking. Last week we went out to Fernwood Toowoomba the award winning facility to capture the details and different areas as well as some video content to show it off online.

I loved how big the spaces were and every machine thinkable….even some surf boards were there.

It was a very welcoming feeling walking through. Looking forward to sharing them with legendary Kathie real soon.

Recently I had Patrick in the studio as he wanted to update his actors profile. He had 5 distinct roles he wanted captured. It is a lot of fun working with actors and actresses...they love to 'get' into the role and play to the camera.

Not all images make the cut...but every now and then there is an image that as the photographer I can choose to like even if the client hasn't. It may not suit their purpose...for this session. However what I absolutely love is catching those idle moments when the client isn't focused on the job at hand...not paying attention to 'playing' the part. Just in a moment of reflection, thinking about something else...and snap. Everything just comes together. You feel it don't you. You connect. Is this perfect hell no... but does it resonate...it does with me.

For the past few years I have captured most of the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce Business @ Dusk events and I must say last nights had a different feel. Our hosts last night were TRACTION for Young People and I just love how many genuinely caring people were there representing this NFP all in the aim to ensure our young are heard and have a sense of belonging.

With all the regional leadership work I have enjoyed and still learning...one thing I know for sure is that when people feel a belonging, a community is much more united and open to listening.

I was also genuinely excited about all the upcoming changes to this years Business Excellence Awards with Clifford Gouldson Lawyers announced as the Naming Partners. It has such a good ring to it. Also the applications this year will all be judged by outside parties and there is major changes to the way the awards night will be as well. If you are in business I invite you to apply for one of the numerous categories available. Do not wait for a nomination...stand up and be seen.

Buoyed by the way CEO Tanaya Treadwell is taking on all the feedback over the past few years to ensure this regions business excellence awards are held in the esteem to which this business community deserves.

When Di Farmer MP acknowledged how amazing the Toowoomba community really is I felt honoured to live here and be a part of this beautiful community.
