YURAYGIR DREAMING - it’s hard to comprehend the feeling you get when standing on the beach, in the pre-dawn light, below the majestic Red Cliffs in Yuragir National Park.

Yuraygir National Park is a spectacular length of coastline on the NSW North Coast between Yamba and Coffs Harbour. With around 65 km’s of mostly undeveloped coastline, it is packed with breathtaking scenery, wildlife, and stunning native flowers. 😎

STREET ART - I just love wandering around urban areas and coming across some really amazing, colourful pieces of graffiti and street art.

I feel a little bit uncomfortable about photographing it, as it is someone else's creativity. But a lot of street art is quite short lived and can get painted over and lost forever. By photographing it, I hope that it can be viewed and appreciated for a bit longer.

BICHENO ROCKS - The beautiful rocky coastline around Bicheno, Tasmania. I could have wandered around amongst these granite headlands for hours.

I decided to make this a black and white image, to help highlight the textures in the rocks. 😎

FOCUS STACKING - This is my first real crack at focus stacking and boy is there a lot to learn.

Focus stacking involves capturing a series of images (bracketing) from foreground to background.

This image is from a fifteen (15) shot image stack, using a Canon R6II + 100mm macro lens.

The images were merged using Affinity, with a little bit of additional processing, (lighting mainly) in Photoshop.

Pretty chuffed for the first attempt. A huge thanks to my good mate David Jones for the lessons yesterday - this bloke is a bloody genius. 👍

Dove Lake and Cradle Mountain are iconic locations in Tasmania. To get perfect conditions for photography at the time of my visit, was an absolute bonus. Just standing beside the lake and capturing this amazing landscape left me almost speechless.
