Some highlights from an incredible Newcastle NAIDOC 2026, in Civic Park, across the city and the Foreshore, in celebration of 50 years of deadly. A huge day of rain, wind and rainbows, community and culture✨

Forever grateful to have grown up on the shores of Awaba, and to work, learn and play alongside the world’s oldest continuous culture. Always was always will be aboriginal land.

My work in this multi layered group show features image pairings from the soon to be demolished old Tomago Water Treatment Plant, built to treat the Tomago (coming from the Worimi term meaning ‘sweet water’) groundwater and the heritage listed Water Spray Basin.

My piece up for nabs is from a body of work I’ve been developing these last few years about the grey headed flying fox colonies of Throsby Creek and Blackbutt Reserve. Framed it is 60x40cm (has been Insta cropped here).
