Ita + Randy. Two of the cuddliest humans you could ever meet..the kind of people whose personalities wrap around you from the very first moment you meet them.
From the get go, you start to see just how different they are, and yet how steady and balanced they keep one another. Ita moves through life with a slower, more thoughtful pace while always protecting her peace, while Randy leans lovingly into procrastination before inevitably springing into action with a sudden sense of urgency and getting things done.
Individually, they are both deeply accomplished people. But together, they challenge one another, hold each other accountable and encourage the other to see the world through a different lens. Through that journey, they have both become stronger, as individuals and within their togetherness.
I see nothing but equality in the way these two move through this world together, in this lifetime. If there’s a problem, it becomes “their problem.” And if they can’t solve it immediately, they somehow find a way to make it lighter so the load never feels too heavy for either of them to carry alone.
My biggest takeaway from our time with Ita + Randy is the innocence they both vividly still hold onto.
When there’s weight, they make it lighter. When there’s hurt, they soften it. When there’s joy, they make it feel enduring.
We couldn’t have been more grateful to witness the world through their eyes for a little while, and to leave appreciating life through an entirely new pair of shoes.
