Today I was at my kids school for Open Classroom Day.

In one of the classrooms, the kids read aloud a short paragraph about how important it is not to give up and it made me think.

As kids we are taught in the classroom and books about values and being a good friend and things like not giving up.

I remember as a kid I soaked all of this in and did my best to be a good kid - listen and respect my elders, be a good friend, do my best at whatever challenge life threw my way. Of course as a kid, my challenges were simple. Maybe it was doing a speech in front of a class, maybe it was sticking up for a friend in the playground, sometimes it was looking after my sister even though I wanted to do something else 🤣

But as we grow into adults, so much noise enters our lives. It's really easy to forget these simple lessons we learnt as kids. Sometimes we tell ourselves "it's too hard" and just give up. Sometimes the risk and uncertainty around trying something new overwhelms us.

Adulting is hard and can really suck. But I think if we take a breath and try to go back to basics, things don't seem so hard and we can move forward.

Taking photos is my love language.

When we welcome a little one in my ginormous family, Aunty Niña is one of the first people they meet. Why? Because it's my way of welcoming the little one into our crazy but loving family.

I volunteer my time for my kids school and sports club. I take photos at their events and games. Why? So my kids know that their mum was there to cheer them on. Also, not every parent has flexibility in their work schedule, if I'm able to share photos of their child with them when they can't be there, I'm hoping it gives them some joy in seeing their little one in action.

My phone is FULL of photos of my family. Some are cheesy ones where I'm making them look into the camera but there are some candid photos that capture who they are at that moment in time. I hope that later on, when they look back at these photos, they will see how much they were loved by me.

So when you see me behind my camera, just know that I am pouring everything into the photos we create ❤️

Is a maternity shoot worth it?

If you're asking yourself this question, you're not alone.

Almost every mum I photograph tells me she nearly didn't book one.

"I don't feel photogenic."
"I'm exhausted."
"I'll just wait until the baby arrives."

Then, when they see their gallery, they all say the same thing...

"I'm so glad I have these photos."

Pregnancy is one of the shortest seasons of your life. It can feel endless while you're in it, but once your baby is here, your bump is gone before you know it.

A maternity shoot isn't about looking perfect. It's about remembering this incredible chapter and celebrating the connection you already have with your baby.

When should you book a maternity photoshoot?

The best time is between 28 and 34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully round but you're still comfortable enough to enjoy the experience.

What should you wear?

You don't need to buy anything. Every maternity session includes access to my carefully curated client wardrobe, with beautiful dresses that photograph beautifully and flatter every stage of pregnancy.

If you're looking for a Sydney maternity photographer, my relaxed sessions are designed to make you feel comfortable, confident and beautifully yourself. Partners and older children are always welcome, so we can capture this exciting time together before your newest little love arrives.

If your baby is due this spring or summer, now is the perfect time to book your maternity session.

Hey guys,

It's been a while since I've show my own face on socials. How are you all doing?

We are half way through 2026 and for me, this is when my year hits fast forward in a flurry of events and activities. Before you know it, Christmas will be here :)

2026 has opened my eyes to just how fast the pace of life moves. This year I have a kid in kindy and a kid in year 6. One is just starting while the other is finishing up. Lots of emotions this year, not just from the kids but also for me.

I'm the mum who is very emo when it comes to family. I cry at the assemblies, I jump and cheer (scream 🤣) for my kids on the sideline and I force a chest to chest hug on my kids at drop off every morning (none of that rubbish side hug, I envelope my kids in a bear hug every morning 🐻).

Watching my boys grow up is the most rewarding thing but a part of me feels sad at milestone moments. I think it's because I was lucky enough to have a great childhood. I have very fond memories of carefree days filled with imagination and fun. So I know that as they grow up, they take steps away from that innocence into the teen years then into adulthood.

While they are little, I get to be silly with them, I get to enjoy the treats with them 🍦 and when they are upset or sad, I know how to fix it.

I'm not sad about the future, I just want time to slow down so that I can enjoy this chapter.

Right now, this photo of me and my boys is really for me. I love that this was taken at my favourite time of the year. I love their laughing little faces and I love that I am smooshing them in for a cuddle.

One day, this photo will be for them. I hope when they look at it, they will know just how loved they are.

Imagine walking past this every morning.

Your digital gallery keeps your memories safe.

Your artwork lets your children grow up surrounded by them.

One day...

this tiny hand won't fit inside yours.

They'll run into school without looking back.

They'll learn to ride a bike.

They'll become independent.

This photograph isn't for today.

It's for twenty years from now.

If you're anything like most of the mums who have booked with me, you've probably had at least one of these thoughts...

🤍 "What if my baby won't sleep?"
🤍 "My toddler is going to be chaos."
🤍 "My husband really doesn't enjoy photos."
🤍 "I have no idea what we'll wear."
🤍 "I'm exhausted... maybe we should wait."

You know what?

Almost every family feels this way before their session.

The good news is, you don't need a perfectly sleepy baby, a perfectly behaved toddler or a perfectly organised family to create beautiful memories.

Your session is completely kid and baby-led. There is plenty of time for feeding, cuddles, settling and breaks whenever they're needed. Toddlers are free to be themselves, and I'll gently guide everyone through the session so you don't have to worry about a thing.

My goal isn't just to create beautiful photographs, it's to make the whole experience feel calm, relaxed and enjoyable.

By the time families leave, one of the most common things I hear is:

"That was so much easier than we expected." 🤍

Currently booking due dates for August–October and outdoor family sessions from September - November.

Sometimes change is planned and sometimes it's not.

Change can sometimes be hard to navigate but you will do it eventually.

If you are struggling with change, be kind to yourself. Slow down if you need to, stop if you need to.

If you are excited about change, give your energy to it and enjoy the journey.

We all deal with change our own way, there is no right or wrong, it's all just part of your story.

We're coming into my favourite time of the year for family photos 🍂

I already have some spots in mind for our own family photos. I just need Mother Nature to play nice so we can get them done.

The most adorable baby expressions coming your way. 🐥🐥🐥

When I photograph your session, I keep in mind how you can display the photos in your gallery. So you will always see a variety of images that you can print and display as a stand alone or as a series of photos in a collage frame or a gallery wall.

That's a full service photographer for you 😊
