These photos feel especially meaningful because they’re not just about updating the family album — they’re about having everyone together while you can. 🤍

With family travelling from different places to be together, this extended family session at Chambers Island was centred around Mum and Dad/Grandma and Grandad, and creating memories while everyone was together.

We captured the whole family, the different generations, the smaller family groups and, most importantly, plenty of laughter and genuine moments in between.

Because one day, these won’t just be photographs. They’ll be reminders of a time when everyone was together — the hugs, the personalities, the silliness and the people who mean the most.

If you’ve been thinking about organising an extended family photo session, especially while everyone is visiting the Sunshine Coast, don’t keep waiting for the “perfect” time. Sometimes having everyone together is the perfect time. 🤍

There's a time that happens for almost all new parents. Somewhere between organising the nursery, making sure baby's clothes are all washed ready to be worn and counting down the weeks until baby arrives, everything starts to get real:

There is so much to prepare for in those last few weeks, and one thing parents are most grateful for is that they planned ahead for preserving memories of those early newborn days, before it all slips away in the blink of eye.

You'll never want to forget those tiny stretches, the sleepy snuggles in your arms, the cute little expressions while they're sleeping perfectly on your chest.

There’s something so special about being invited back to photograph the next chapter of a family’s story.

I first photographed these two while they were waiting to meet their baby girl, Alexandra… and now she’s here. Tiny toes, sleepy cuddles and two very smitten parents.

Choosing a favourite from this gallery is almost impossible! I think Dad’s favourite might be photo no. 3… and I keep changing my mind every time I look through them.

Think your kids won’t enjoy a photo session at the park?

Nothing could be further than the truth today. There is so much to see and explore at the Maroochy Botanical Gardens and this made for a nice relaxed family photo session capturing Sara’s family having fun and just enjoying spending some quality time together.
