Noosa Everglades 28/01/2023

Based out of a Hipcamp (Noosa Everglades Retreat/Camping) with its own access to the Everglades (just south of Campsite 1) I spent a large part of Saturday paddling down to Kinaba QPWS Station and back.
Hit the water at about 0615. Plenty of other canoes and kayak on the water as the day went on. Quite a warm day so very little wildlife around.

Roughly, paddle times on the way down were
Camp1 to Harrys Hut @45 mins (2.8 Km)
Harrys Hut to Fig Tree Point @ 1 hr (4.7 km)
FTP to Kinaba @35 mins (1.2 km)

And a lot longer on the way back. Ran out of puff between FTP and Harrys on the way back. Got back to camp @ 1430 hrs.

Played tourist with Téa and Kym last week on a Fraser Explorer Tour.
Spent quite a bit of time on the bus unfortunately, but it sure beat driving in all the 4WD traffic. It was bedlam.

Tried something different today.
Didn't quite work out.
Wrong lens choice, not enough light/flash, but a pleasant afternoon.

Wildlife, or lack there of.
Strangely not a great deal of wildlife around.

Warrumbah Gorge

Reminded me of a mini Stanleys Chasm in the NT.
Bit of rock hopping to get into. We only went as far as we could without getting wet boots.

This gorge is found up the Mickeys Creek walk and is well worth it.

Moss Gardens

Another darkish damp spot.
To see the water trickling out of the cliff face, yet bone dry above.
