Some seasons of life pass in the blink of an eye… and the first year is one of them 🤍

When the Young family reached out, they were choosing to press pause on a chapter that already feels like it’s moving too fast. Tiny hands wrapped around Mum and Dad, sleepy cuddles, curious little eyes taking in the world, and the love that has completely transformed their lives.

Because one day, the bow will be gone, those baby rolls will disappear, and the little girl they’re holding so tightly will be running ahead into her own adventures.

Photographs become the bridge back to these moments. The way she fit perfectly in their arms. The way they looked at her. The feeling of being right here, in this season, together.

This is why family sessions matter. Not because everything is perfect, but because these days are worth remembering exactly as they are.

Some moments stay with you forever, and this is one that will always live rent free in my mind!

It wasn’t just about photographing a “yes,” it was about preserving the exact moment two lives changed forever. After 9 years together, Madi’s surprised reaction at Will’s proposal was honestly the best thing I’ve ever witnessed! She had no idea!!

As a photographer, I’m invited into so many meaningful chapters, but this one felt especially defining for me. The honour I feel to document such a life-changing moment is something I’ll never take for granted and is a beautiful reminder of why I do what I do.
I’ll creep around in the bushes any day to capture a moment like this!
