A Mistletoe Bird stopped for a split second to catch a little morning sun. They’re usually quick and constantly on the move, so getting one to pause in the sunlight made for a great little moment to capture. ☀️🐦

An Eastern Rosella walking through the long grass, searching for flower heads to eat. Until you spot those flashes of bright yellow and red, they can be surprisingly well camouflaged amongst the grass. Then suddenly, there they are! 🦜🌾💛❤️

Nothing better than when a Spotted Pardalote comes in and decides to show off all those incredible colours and patterns. Such a tiny bird, but with so much detail packed into its feathers. You really appreciate just how spectacular they are when you get a close look! 🐦💛🖤

A New Holland Honeyeater going to town on this bright orange Banksia! 🧡🐦 It was busy working its way through the flowers, making the most of all that nectar. The striking contrast between the honeyeater and the vivid Banksia blooms made for a great little splash of colour in the bush.

A Musk Lorikeet perched on the timber rail just above the horse water trough. It looked pretty comfortable sitting there, taking a moment to check out the surroundings before moving on. You never know where you're going to find these colourful little visitors when you're out exploring the countryside. 🦜🌿

A White-throated Honeyeater caught in an interesting moment. It looks like it could be collecting spider web material for nesting, or perhaps it has just caught the spider that was hiding in the web. 🕷️🐦

White-throated Honeyeaters are known to hunt insects and spiders, so either way, it was fascinating to watch. Nature always seems to give you something unexpected when you slow down and look closely!

The Spectacled Monarch is an amazing little bird, and its call is just as impressive as its looks. It has a sound that reminds me of some of our warning sirens! 🚨🐦

But it's not just the unusual call that makes this bird special. With those striking colours and beautiful markings, the Spectacled Monarch is definitely a bird that catches your attention. Always a bonus when you can get a good look at one in the open!

Coming across one Scarlet Honeyeater is always a great find, but having two sitting together on the same branch is even better! These little birds are so quick and constantly on the move, so getting both in the same frame was a pretty special moment. ❤️🐦🐦
