These beautiful women, our second time together. This shoot was so calm and beautiful. The sun was shining, no wind, all of us relaxed and having fun, the way every shoot should be.

This moment in time before baby arrives. Time together. The quiet anticipation. There is truly nothing like it. I remember a friend of mine saying, it’s like waiting to open the biggest present of your life. And it truly is.

The eye 👁️

People often talk about “having the eye” for photography, but what does that really mean? Do some people have it and others don’t?

I think we all see the world differently. Every experience, memory, feeling and perspective shapes the way we view what’s in front of us. We each look through our own lens, and that’s what makes photography so personal.

No two people will ever see a moment exactly the same way. No two people will stand in the same place, notice the same details, or create the same photograph.

Maybe having “the eye” isn’t about seeing something others can’t. Maybe it’s about learning to trust the way you see the world.

Another divine session with one of my fave families enjoying these cold but divine nights ♥️🤍

I’ve been busy lately and I know busy can mean so many different things to different people. But for me it means trying to find a balance. A balance for me, my children, my partner, my work and my photography.

Photography is my feminine creative outlet. It pulls me back into the light where I feel at home and at peace. Behind the lens I’m searching for the right angles and light and filling the screen with a balance of the family in front of me, the elements, the space around them, everything that brings their story to life. When I get it right I feel whole and peaceful. On purpose doing something beautiful for them and at the same time something beautiful for me. What is that called? Synergy? Alignment?

I don’t shoot as much as I used to because I was shooting to much and wasn’t able to spend enough quality time with my family. Which brings me back to my struggle with balance.

These days my week days are filled with working in my partners construction business. I love it there, I love the office environment, I love admin, I love computers and organising. It’s my jam.

I have my boys 50% of the time, and want to spend quality time with them when I have them - amongst the endless after school activities and homework and play dates.

I’m building a home. It’s the first home I’ve built. And it’s in my name and I feel so proud. I’ll talk more about that another day as it’s just so much for one post. But it’s very special.

And my partner, the final piece to my puzzle. He completes me. We are the team I’d always dreamed of. Parents to five sons. Passionate about the same things (except maybe soccer 🙈) lovers of life. My best friend. We cherish and adore each other, so grateful to each other. Every single day.

Here’s to a new week where I do it all again ♥️

Ps. I can never add music to my posts as for some reason I have the lamest music to choose from 😅

When I capture love, especially weddings, I get so emotional. I feel like I’m part of the family and for that day I am. I’m so invested and feel all the love and the goosebumps and the songs. It really hits me in the heart.

Capturing Brooke and Craig was no exception. We have had three shoots prior over the years, witnessing their family grow and it’s just so special to be invited to share this day as well.

Congratulations Brooke and Craig ♥️

When family live in different states, time together becomes something you don’t take for granted .. it becomes everything.

These sessions aren’t just photos. They’re the cousins who only see each other once or twice a year, the grandparents soaking it all in, the chaos, the laughter, the “wait, don’t move!” moments that somehow turn into the favourites.

Because life moves fast, kids grow faster, and distance has a way of stretching time between visits.

Capturing extended family like this means freezing a moment that doesn’t happen often enough and turning it into something that lasts.

One day, these photos won’t just be beautiful… they’ll be priceless.
