Although I wasn't part of the women's circle or directly involved in the beautiful rituals, being present behind the lens made me feel empowered and connected. It truly is a remarkable retreat!

That was my first time taking bo***ir photographs, and the outcome = I just loved it! I have loved it because of the fact that I could freeze strength, joy, courage, maturity and, especially, an important chapter of womanhood! Jess, I hope the photos taken can confirm who you have become, and with the passing of the years, you can revisit them and proudly remember this phase of your life.

Knowledge about the past makes it possible to build a future with justice. Knowledge without exposure, without talk and without getting together produces nothing. "We need to speak every day, not only today. Everyday!" This was one of the speeches during the Invasion day protest against Australia's national day on the 26th of January, 2023.

As in all land that was colonized, Australia was invaded by people that explored the natives, tried to erase their culture and took their motherland without no rights. They still struggle and suffer from the invasion and colonialism.

It fed me to be part of the protest with people who were there to fight for their rights; and those who were there in respect to understanding more about the past.
