IT’S OFFICIAL My next ShutterBugs book is here!
ShutterBugs: Through My Lens was created especially for teenagers aged 13–18 who want to explore photography, creativity, and what it means to see the world in their own way.
But this book is a little different.
Yes, we talk about taking better photos, understanding light, composition, storytelling, editing, and finding your own creative style.
But we also talk about safety.
Because photography for teenagers today doesn’t just happen behind a camera.
It happens online, on social media, while creating content and while they’re out and about taking photos.
So we talk about things like protecting your location and personal information online, thinking before posting, photographing strangers respectfully, being aware of your surroundings, staying safe when exploring locations and understanding that getting “the shot” is NEVER more important than your safety.
That was incredibly important to me when writing this book.
I don’t just want young people to become better photographers.
I want them to become confident, creative and responsible photographers who know how to protect themselves too.
You don’t need an expensive camera.
You don’t need thousands of followers.
And you definitely don’t need to create like everybody else.
Your perspective matters. Your creativity matters. And your safety matters.
