Yay! Photos taken at The Dog Lovers Festival 2026 Flyball Demonstration are now up!

I didn’t get as many photos as I would have liked due to also being an exhibitor on the day on a stand.

I have only photographed Flyball once previously, so I had a lot of fun with this and I hope you enjoy these quick couple of snaps too.

I have finally managed to work through the photos from the 10th of May for the American Staffordshire Terrier Club Of QLD Inc Lure Coursing Trial.

As I was focused more on the trial I only got a small selection of images focusing more on my own dog competing.

Regardless I’d like to take a quick moment to thank my friends for their support both emotionally and financially with their purchases through me starting to take payments for my work. It is a daunting transition to say the least, but I’m thankful to start being able to move forward with my work.

These were a challenge for me working with only a 70-200 however with some creative cropping both when the dogs were further away and decently close and hard work editing we got some nice photos out of it.

Thanks for the patience of everyone waiting, it has been a very busy week.

Next up on my agenda is photos from The Dog Lovers Festival Brisbane 2026 Flyball demonstration.

Absolute goober of a fella Mr Scooter joined us on our shoot this afternoon, thanks to Nikita Cave for bringing him! Labbys are always fun to get photos of!

After a break spanning almost a year and a half for this girl the Cinzac team brought out the lovely Hazel aka Ch Mydnytblue Talk Of The Town SPRD JC for me, so that I could practice more with show photos.

For such a long break, she has done a great job!

Thanks to Cinzac Kennels for humouring me and bringing her out just for little old me 🤣🥰

I've said it before and I'll say it again, one of my absolutely favourite things about not being in the ring and sitting ringside is watching the relationships and teamwork between exhibitors and their dogs.

Seeing the smiles, focus and adoration between this wonderful pair as they went the distance to be awarded best in group on Saturday under judge Ms B Dixon (Qld) at the Pine Rivers show was magical.

Congrats to Megan and Ripley aka Aust Ch Ilsonyo Believe It Or Not (IID USA) SPRD from the Ilsonyo Kennel on your Best In Group win!

We went to Australia Zoo for Cindy’s birthday!

We got so many lovely photos throughout the day, and I managed to find a few good spots in the glass to photograph this beautiful tigress.

No Irwins spotted this time, but many more photos to come!

And to Photography I have finally made my return after a several years long hiatus that I wasn't fully convinced would ever end.

I've had the itch to pick up a camera in the last year and I've finally scratched it. I'm back with a new name, different gear and a more centred focus.

My new name Cedar Productions Photography (formerly Walkom Photography) is a nod to my first dog and lovely little lady, Cedar, who I started my professional photography journey with almost 10 years ago. Cedar has been a most wonderful pet and the centre of our world for 10 years before we began our venture into showing and dog sports with different breeds.

I'll be starting small while I ease myself back into the profession, and I can't wait to see where it takes me. My ultimate goal is to get into Dog show & sports photography, with some availability for specialised shoots on the occasion as well as some film projects here and there.

Thankful for the patience and encouragement of my loved ones to get back in the saddle. I'm happy to be back. I have not lost my touch and I've missed the weight of a camera in my hand.
