John Martin is a freelance photographer and the owner of Sapphire Coast Photography. John Martin is the owner of Sapphire Coast Photography.

For the past four years, John has been a local resident of Merimbula. Prior to returning to Australia, John spent 18 years travelling and working overseas. From an early age he has been fascinated by photography and in particular landscape photography. Largely self taught, John has studied a variety of styles including long exposure, panorama, portraiture and drone photography. According to John, living on the Sapphire Coast with its untouched natural beauty is a photographer’s dream come true.

Down at the far southern corner of the Sapphire Coast, Green Cape Lighthouse keeps watch over the sea 🧩

This puzzle has the tall white tower and the keepers' cottages above a vivid green slope in Beowa National Park, red rock stepping down to the water and a big, moody sky rolling in. The grass, the rock ledges and the clouds each have their own character, so there's always somewhere to make progress.

Looking straight down on one of Eden's favourite swimming spots 🧩

The Aslings Beach rock pool sits beneath a headland of layered stone: bands of cream, pink and deep red rock, turquoise water swirling round the ledges, and white surf breaking over the reef. From above it's almost abstract, which makes it a wonderfully absorbing puzzle to build.
