When talking about it with my couples, I often refer to the ceremony as a rollercoaster of emotions.
Brides and grooms tell me during their prep that they feel relaxed and chill. They usually have had a fun night before, drinking and hanging out with their friends and family.
However as the morning goes on, you can see the pressure slowly building inside, along with the realisation that this is actually all happening. The big day has finally arrived.
Anyone that has given a presentation at work or is part of any committee knows that giving a little speech in front of a few people is already daunting.
Imagine telling each other the most meaningful words of your life, in front of hundred people or even more. For most people that's absolutely petrifying.
And then, after telling your vows and exchanging rings, you just walk away, feeling relieved and much much lighter.
That's a bloody beautiful rollercoaster, and to me it always feels like an honour to witness it and capture any emotional nuance.
Here you have my now good friends Chris and Amber, enjoying their ride, together ❤️
