A bowl of spring from last week. The foxgloves are still going strong and the roses are having their first flush. After a wet couple of days the sun is out and it’s starting to warm up, the weeds are loving it 🫣 I’m loving the daisies in this arrangement for a bit of old fashioned charm. 🌼

My own pick and mix - a few hours spent in mum’s garden with snips and a bucket or two to fill was the best way to embrace spring this weekend. This is a delightfully fragrant arrangement with sweetpeas and lilac doing the heavy lifting. The snowball bush and sweetpea stems provided a great structural base to hold a range of airy stems. But my favourite is the little daisy faces poking through. 💜💚💙

I feel like I’ve captured a rainbow in a vase with these spring pretties. The apricot/strawberry foxgloves are my fave for a little height. The lilac smells completely divine. It makes me happy walking through my garden each morning and seeing it come to life.
In this arrangement I’ve included foxgloves, chocolate lace, poppies, aquilegia, corn cockles, ranunculus, lilac, pansies, everlastings and some grass to catch the light.

For the love of pink! From pale to hot to deep pink, the ranunculus are having their time in the sun with this beautiful start to Spring we are having. I’ve fully leant into maximalism with this bunch, adding in some everlastings, chocolate lace, sweet peas, aquilegia, foxgloves, pink delphiniums and quite a bit more.

Spring is starting to do its thing. The freesias and jasmine in this vase are so intoxicating in their scent, while the ranunculus are opening their many layered centres. I can’t get enough of the poppies at the moment, the crinkles in the petals are magic as they reflect the light.

Ingredients: ranunculus, foxgloves, freesias, anemones, poppies, crabapple, jasmine, aquilegia, sweet peas, daffodils, corn cockles, everlastings and wisteria provided some structure in the base as I couldn’t find a spare flower pin or chicken wire 🙄

Signs of Spring are everywhere at the moment. So happy to see foxgloves, blossom and ranunculus! I might finally start posting photos again now I have some flowers to play with ☺️

Other signs of Springs include the daily battle I have with an invading army of caterpillars determined to eat all the delphiniums and larkspur I’ve planted, as well as cheeky crows that have taken to pulling out my tulip bulbs 🫣

Celebrating the Winter Solstice with a little winter arrangement. My favourite midpoint of the year, when you know that longer days will slowly start to appear and the spring flowers are only a few months away.

Hellebores, chocolate lace, cosmos, early narcissus, daphne, daisies, camellia, dried hydrangea, oak leaf hydrangea and roses being the hardy ingredients available to play with right now.

One from Friday, when I made a quick dash to my mum’s place to cut flowers and even managed a few hours to play with them. Definitely needed after a bit of a blah few days. I also spotted this gorgeous depression era vase in the second hand shop in town, of course it insisted on coming home with me. 😬 But looking right at home with these gorgeous apricot roses.
Zinnias, celosia, roses, phlox, dahlias and cosmos all a welcome distraction from the world right now.

Long weekends are for gardening, creative workshops, lots of walks with the dog, movies and flowers! Loving a slightly cooler change this weekend as we say goodbye to summer. This bunch features a distinctly autumn vibe I think, while also celebrating some late summer faves such as roses, hydrangea paniculata, celosia, honesty, strawflowers, thalictrum and clematis.
