Kayla & McClaren šŸ¤Ž

At the beautiful Blue Gum Station, surrounded by golden light, rolling hills, horses and the people they love most, Kayla and McClaren said ā€œI do.ā€

These two have already created such a beautiful life together. Country souls at heart and with Kayla being a horse gal, I think it’s safe to say they chose the perfect place to make it official. 🐓✨

There’s something pretty special about watching two people celebrate not only the love they share, but the life and family they’ve built along the way.

Wishing you both endless love, happiness and plenty of laughter as you continue through this wonderful thing we call life.

And your beautiful kids? They’re pretty lucky to have the two of you beside them, showing them the world and what it means to love, laugh and do life together. šŸ¤Ž

Congratulations, Kayla & McClaren. Thank you for having me there to document a little piece of your story. x

ā€œMay your love stay wild, your roots grow deep, and wherever life takes you, may you always find your way home to each other.ā€ šŸ¤Ž

A little Christmas Mini 2026 update… šŸŽ„šŸ¤

For the past three years, Christmas Minis have been something I’ve kept quietly between myself and my regular returning clients. I’ve never advertised them publicly or opened bookings on my page in 3 years.

The reason is simple… I absolutely love seeing the same beautiful families return each year. Watching your children grow, seeing new additions to families, and catching up with you all has become one of my favourite traditions. It feels less like work and more like welcoming friends back to the farm.

I’ve also always been mindful not to overbook myself. I’d rather offer a handful of sessions that I can pour my heart into than take on more than I can genuinely enjoy. That balance is so important to me.

When you book a Christmas Mini with me, it’s never just about turning up for a photo. It’s a little country Christmas experience. We have our country-inspired set here on the property, my Nannie’s homemade gingerbread fresh from the oven, carrots ready for our very hungry horse, and plenty of laughs along the way. That’s what I want people to remember.

Believe it or not, my prices have also stayed the same for the past four years. While the extra income is lovely, these sessions have never been about making as much money as possible. They’re genuinely my favourite sessions of the entire year.

This year, for the very first time, I’ll be opening any remaining sessions to the public once all of my regular families have had the chance to book.

I honestly don’t know how many spots there will be, but I do know they’ll be very limited. This will be done on Monday 3rd of August.

So if you’ve ever wanted to experience Christmas Minis with myself please… stay tuned. šŸŽ…

Jess and Russell met, fell in love, and I guess the rest is history. šŸ¤

Surrounded by their closest family and friends, these two made it official in a beautiful celebration at wide bay getaway . With the stunning waterfront as the backdrop for their ceremony, they exchanged vows before heading off for one of the coolest post-ceremony ideas I’ve seen… matching tattoos! ✨

The celebrations then continued into a fun-filled reception, full of laughter, love and plenty of unforgettable moments.

Jess & Russell, thank you so much for trusting me to document such an incredible chapter of your story. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, adventure and happiness together. šŸ¤

I recently had the incredible opportunity to spend some time at Gigoomgan Brahman Stud documenting life behind the scenes and learning more about their operation. What an experience!

Tomorrow they’re holding their Open Day, where their quality bulls will be on display and available for purchase. Whether you’re in the market for your next sire or simply curious to see what a leading Brahman stud is all about, I’d definitely encourage you to head along and show your support.

This is just the beginning… šŸ“ø

A full documentary-style collection of images and the story behind my visit will be coming soon, and I can’t wait to share it with you all.

Until then… here’s a little teaser. šŸ¤šŸ‚

šŸ’šŸ¤ Ethan & Hayley šŸ¤šŸ’

Every now and then, you have the privilege of documenting a story long before the wedding day ever arrives.

Nearly 2 years ago, I was invited to what Hayley & her family believed was simply a family photo session. Behind the scenes, however, Ethan had been quietly planning something special. With the blessing of Hayley’s dad, he had organised a surprise proposal, and I had the honour of documenting one of the most important moments of their lives.

Those are the moments that remind me photography is about so much more than beautiful images. It’s about preserving the special moments that unfold in our lives.

Fast forward, and I found myself standing behind the camera once again, this time watching the same two people promise each other forever.

Their wedding at Rusty Grove, was a simply beautiful, Thoughtfully planned, beautifully personal and overflowing with genuine love. Every detail had a purpose, every space had been carefully considered, and so much of that credit belongs to Hayley, whose vision came to life so effortlessly. (I’m sure Ethan had a few approving nods along the way too.)

Surrounded by the people who matter most, the day unfolded exactly as a wedding should, without hiccups (we all hope for that) There were quiet glances, big laughs, happy tears, mini golf and even a mechanical bull that kept guests entertained well into the evening.

Looking back through these images, I don’t just see a wedding. I see the continuation of a story that began with a surprise, a ring hidden away and a nervous question asked at exactly the right moment.

Ethan & Hayley, thank you for trusting me to document not only your wedding day, but a chapter of your story long before it. It has been an absolute privilege to witness you tie the knot and I hope to document more special moments in the future for you both.

I hope that years from now, these photographs bring you straight back to how it all felt.

Congratulations again, and here’s to a lifetime of adventure, laughter and the many chapters still waiting to be written. šŸ¤Ž

Today, I had to say goodbye to one of the biggest parts of Isabella M Photography.

Many of you will recognise this beautiful girl.

This is Mindi šŸ¤šŸ“šŸŖ½āœļø

For close to a decade, she has been quietly standing beside me through this photography journey. While she was my horse and favourite riding partner, she was also so much more than that. She became part of my business in so many ways.

She featured in more than 50 or 60 different photo sessions over the years. Families, couples, children, maternity sessions. She welcomed everyone with her gentle nature. She was the horse I could trust completely, the one who stood patiently while little hands gave her pats and somehow always knew exactly how to make people feel calm.
She never asked for anything except the occasional carrot, apple or a scratch on her chest.

I wanted to share these black and white portraits because they felt right. Without colour, all that’s left is the emotion. The love. The trust. The bond we shared. To me, they capture her soul in a way words never quite can & I love her features.

Although she may have looked like just another beautiful horse in so many of my galleries, to me she was my teammate. She helped create memories for so many, and I know there are countless photographs hanging on walls throughout the Fraser Coast that have a little piece of Mindi in them. How special is that!? šŸ«¶šŸ½šŸ„°

Thank you, my beautiful girl, for every ride, every photoshoot, every adventure, every lesson and every quiet moment in between. Thank you for helping me build the business I love while simply being your gentle, patient self.

You weren’t just behind the camera with me.

You were part of the story.

Run free Mindi, we will ride together again on day.

Forever my girl. šŸ¤šŸ“

šŸ WANGRAWALLY šŸ„

*I know this is a longer read, but if you have a few spare minutes, I’d love for you to scroll through the images and read the story behind them. You might just learn something new about life on a working sheep station and gain an even greater appreciation for the hardworking people who keep Australian agriculture alive every single day. šŸ¤Ž

The Australian outback has a way of slowing you down.

With a few days to spare, Dylan and I packed the car and headed west into regional New South Wales to visit our friends, Taylah and Hamish, and experience life on a working sheep and cattle station.

Surrounded by thousands upon thousands of acres sits the original homestead, tucked away almost a kilometre from the road. Machinery sheds, towering silos, stockyards, horse stables and paddocks stretch as far as the eye can see. Every building has a purpose, every fence has a story, and every sunrise brings another day’s work.

The homestead itself has remained within Hamish’s family for generations. Walking through its halls feels like stepping back in time, where decades of hard work, resilience and family memories have been preserved.

Not a day goes by where Taylah and Hamish are sitting still. Alongside running sheep, they also manage cattle, while Taylah has built a reputation for producing quality Australian Stock Horses. Together, they’re an incredible team who genuinely live and breathe the land and have a passion for agriculture.

Dylan and I spent the morning helping drench sheep, ear-tagging young lambs and learning why both an ear tag and a permanent ear mark are used. While the numbered tag provides identification, the permanent ear mark remains for life and helps identify the property’s registered ownership if a tag is ever lost or removed. It’s one of those small details I’d never thought about before but is such an important part of responsible livestock management.

Watching Hamish and his working dogs gather sheep from kilometres away was something I’ll never forget. Their partnership is built on trust, patience and countless hours together. What made it even more special was learning that some of the older dogs still working the station once belonged to Hamish’s grandfather. Even in their later years, they still have a purpose, proving that good working dogs never really lose their instinct.

One of my favourite parts of the day was learning about wool.

Like many people, I’d never realised that every fleece is carefully classed and graded before it’s sold. Wool is sorted according to its quality, fineness, length and strength, with each grade destined for different products. Once graded, it’s compressed using a powerful wool press into enormous bales before beginning its journey to wool buyers. From there it’s washed, processed and eventually transformed into everything from luxurious clothing to blankets, insulation and countless other products we use every day.

Later, we wandered through the original shearers’ quarters.

Inside were the old bedrooms 2x2, communal dining hall, kitchen, wood-fired stove, shower block and meat safe, simple reminders of the men and women who once called this place home during shearing season. Although the original shearing shed has since been replaced with a modern facility, the history hasn’t disappeared. It simply continues in a new chapter, where modern equipment now works alongside generations of knowledge.

Standing there, surrounded by so much history, I couldn’t help but think about the generations before us.

The countless early mornings and late nights.
The dust.
The droughts.
The good seasons.
The hard seasons.
The stock loss.

Properties like this aren’t simply businesses, they’re family legacies built through resilience, sacrifice and an unwavering commitment to the land and stock.

Looking around, I could only imagine how incredibly proud Hamish’s grandfather would be to see his grandson and Taylah carrying forward the legacy that generations before them worked so hard to build. Their care, respect and dedication ensure that this piece of family history continues to thrive. Keeping a family property alive isn’t just about maintaining fences or caring for livestock, it’s about protecting stories, traditions and a way of life so they can be passed on to those who come next.

Thank you, Taylor and Hamish, for opening your home and sharing a small glimpse into life on your station. It was an experience we will never forget, and one that gave me an even greater appreciation for the people behind Australian agriculture.

Okay… how stunning is this beautiful girl?! ✨

Congratulations, Shanina, on your high school formal. You looked absolutely breathtaking. That soft lavender pastel gown suited you so beautifully and complemented you perfectly.

As you step into this next chapter of life, I wish you all the very best for your future endeavours. I have no doubt you’re going to achieve amazing things and absolutely smash whatever comes your way.
Thank you for allowing me to capture and document such a special milestone in your life.

ā€œHigh school may be ending, but the memories, lessons, and friendships made along the way will stay with you forever. The best chapters are still waiting to be written.ā€ šŸ’œ

What’s better than one mum? Having two of coursešŸ¤

Tjana & Nicole, what an honour it was to capture this beautiful chapter of your lives.

What started as a maternity session also became the perfect opportunity to document the love you have for your beautiful golden boy, Slim. 🧔

These images hold so much of what I love about photography, the raw smiles, the quiet moments, the genuine laughter, and the kind of love you don’t need to pose because it naturally shines through.

There is something so special about documenting families in seasons like this, right on the edge of change, excitement, and new beginnings. Your little one is already so deeply loved, and it’s so clear they are being welcomed into a family full of warmth, safety, and unconditional love.

Thank you both for trusting me to preserve these memories for you. I have no doubt you are going to be the most incredible mums.

Your little one is one very lucky baby šŸ¤

Will miss you guys! šŸ§”šŸ¤

Chelsea & Lachie šŸ¤

These two legends officially tied the knot on the beautiful shores of Hervey Bay before heading off to celebrate at their reception venue — a golf course and honestly, underrated wedding location. šŸ˜

If you’re after that classic, timeless look in your wedding gallery, the clean greenery is chef’s kiss. No distractions, no fuss, just beautiful light, stunning scenery, and the bride and groom being the main event (as they should be).

I also had a tiny second shooter join me for part of the day — one of Chelsea and Lachie’s little boys decided he was assistant photographer during the portrait session and took it very seriously. Safe to say he absolutely nailed his job. I may have some future competition on my hands. šŸ“øšŸ˜‚

Chelsea & Lachie, thank you for trusting me to capture a small piece of your story.

Wishing you both endless love, lots of laughter, and plenty of wild adventures ahead as you continue this next chapter with your two beautiful boys. šŸ¤
