What a beautiful August wedding 🤍

A day filled with beautiful moments, so much love, plenty of laughter and a few heartfelt tears — not just from the bride and groom, but from almost everyone in the room.

I had the sweetest morning with Emily as she got ready, before we headed into one of my favourite parts of the day — the first look. But this wasn’t just any first look. Emily had a very special surprise tucked inside her dad’s jacket, and it’s safe to say none of us had dry eyes 🥹

Emily and Lucas said yes to forever at the stunning Blue Gum Station, surrounded by the people they love most. And then came the arrival of the sweetest little flower girl, Annabelle, in her very own personalised plate car. 🥹🤍 This was a first for me, and I sincerely hope it’s not the last because it was quite possibly the coolest thing ever.

Once the formalities and portraits were wrapped up, and some beautiful speeches were made, Emily and Lucas decided to take things up a notch with a scavenger hunt, with the grand prize being a Ninja Slushy. What followed was absolute chaos in the best possible way.

Every round brought something completely unexpected, and somehow, in the middle of it all, I ended up having my shoe ripped off and my sock stolen by one of the guests , all caught on camera, of course. You’ll know exactly when you see it. Atleast after all that effort, I’m very glad to report that he didn’t lose THAT round.

From the quiet, emotional moments to the absolute chaos on the dance floor, this day really had everything you could wish for in a wedding. A beautiful love story, celebrated in the best way, with the people who mean the most.

There’s something really special about getting to photograph someone’s wedding day, but getting to photograph your best friend’s wedding day? That hits a little differently. 🤍

One of my favourite things about this job is that I get to be invited into some of the biggest, happiest and most meaningful days of people’s lives. But when that person is someone I’ve grown up with, someone I’ve known my entire life, and someone I love with my whole heart… it becomes so much more than just another wedding to photograph.

I was lucky enough to spend the morning with my best friend, capturing all of those little moments before she became a wife — the getting ready, the laughter, the girls, the nerves, the excitement, and watching her step into her dress for the first time. Then, once I had officially clocked off, I got to put the camera down and be there as a guest, watching her marry the love of her life. 🥹

And there’s a pretty special little piece of history behind all of this too. I’ve known Cass my entire life, and fun fact: if it wasn’t for her formal after-party eight years ago, this photography business probably wouldn’t exist. She was the reason I picked up a camera in the first place. I started by taking modelling photos of her (and let’s just say… our early work was definitely a learning curve 😂), never knowing that one day I’d be standing beside her on her wedding day, camera in hand, capturing these moments for her.

To see how far we’ve both come, and to watch this beautiful, vibrant, wonderful human step into such an exciting new chapter of her life, was genuinely something I’ll never forget.

Cassidy, I love you with my whole heart. I’m so incredibly grateful I got to capture these moments for you before I put my camera down and became a guest. 🤍

If formal season has taught me anything this year, it’s that red is definitely the colour… and honestly, I’m not complaining one bit. 💃🏼❤️ Kendall looked absolutely breathtaking, and this stunning dress was made for her.

Lane scrubbed up pretty well too! Looking incredibly sharp in his suit, the two of them made such a great pair for their formal photos.

It’s always so special to photograph friendships alongside all the excitement of formal season, and these two made the session such an easy and enjoyable one.

Some moments come full circle, and this was definitely one of them. 🤍

It was so special to photograph Georgia all these years later after capturing her older sister’s formal. Watching her all grown up and stepping into this exciting milestone was such a privilege.

Can we take a moment to appreciate this incredible dress?! Georgia didn’t just wear it… she designed and made it herself! The creativity, talent and attention to detail that went into it is nothing short of amazing, and she looked absolutely breathtaking. Talk about talented!

Alongside her was Argyle, looking incredibly sharp and completely at home in front of the camera. The two of them complemented each other so effortlessly, making every photo feel natural and timeless.

Formal season done right. ✨

Tyler absolutely nailed the look for his formal, and that car was the perfect finishing touch. Such a great combination for a night to remember. It was also great to capture a few photos with his mate Ellis to wrap up the session.

All weddings are beautiful, but there are some that feel like they’ve stepped straight out of a fairytale.

From the moment i seen Abbey , everything felt magical, whimsical, and effortlessly romantic. And can we please take a moment for her hair? Yes, you heard me right — her natural curls. No extensions, no elaborate styling tricks, just the most gorgeous curls framing an absolutely stunning bride. Abbey looked nothing short of breathtaking.

And Zach? Looking polished, handsome, and every bit the proud groom standing beside the love of his life.

What makes their story even more special is that it all began back in high school. From teenage sweethearts to husband and wife, watching these two finally say “I do” was something truly special. The way they look at each other, the way they laugh together, and the love that has grown with them over the years is something you simply can’t fake.

Abbey & Zach, thank you for allowing me to capture such an incredible chapter of your story. Your day was filled with so much love, joy, and genuine magic, and I feel so lucky to have witnessed it.
