This one feels extra special. 🌊

“Held By The Tide” received a Commended award in the 2026 Landscape Awards, against almost 3000 entries from photographers across Australia. Honestly still wrapping my head around it.

A quiet little moment from above turned into something award-winning. The colours, the movement, the tiny human in the ocean… this image always felt calm but powerful to me. Like the ocean holding its breath for a second.

This creative journey has gone from “maybe I’ll buy a drone” to nationally recognised work and that’s pretty surreal.

Still trying to process the fact that little old me from the Fraser Coast just pulled a “Highly Commended” in the 2026 Landscape Awards for my landscape photograph titled “Incoming” … out of almost 3000 entries Australia wide 😭🌊

This image, this storm, this moment above the coastline… it’s now award-winning. Absolutely wild.

Started with a drone, a creative brain that refuses to sit still, and a deep obsession with chasing light, weather, and the kind of landscapes that make you stop mid-scroll.

Massive thank you to everyone who supports Salt Coast, shares my work, buys prints, hypes me up, or just quietly follows along while I hang out of a car window chasing clouds and sunsets like a lunatic.

Out trucking with my partner for an overnighter, quick stop and couldn’t resist sending Marty up to check out the sunset.
