Starlit Canopy:🌌🌳
Family Camping at Eungella Dam🏕️
​Our campsite set the perfect stage for a night in the bush. Exploring the tree line together with my partner and our five-year-old daughter, torchlight revealed a cozy koala high in a gum tree and a magnificent greater glider sailing through the upper canopy. Back at camp under the stars, warm drinks capped off an unforgettable evening of family adventure and nocturnal discovery.

​As the last embers of daylight fade over the Eungella rainforest, three laughing kookaburras stand sentinel on a damp, moss-covered branch.
Perched high above the shadowy woodland floor, their sharp eyes scan the twilight understory, tracking the final movements of the late afternoon for one last meal. Their iconic, echoing calls ring out through the darkening canopy, cutting through the stillness of dusk to mark the end of another day’s hunt.

"​Feathered Shadows of Eungella"

​As the last embers of daylight fade over the Eungella rainforest, three laughing kookaburras stand sentinel on a damp, moss-covered branch.

"FACE TO FACE WITH A MIDNIGHT GIANT"
I immediately hopped out, crawled down onto the rubble, and switched to red light so as not to disturb him. He marched right up to the camera lens, checked me out, and then casually continued his midnight stroll across the path.
​Nothing quite beats encountering an Australian tarantula going about its business in the dark. Pure Aussie magic!

(Reality glitched in the forest today)
​Under a brilliant, sun-drenched sky, a young lace monitor pulled off a move (straight out of The Matrix) 🥷🦎
Sprinting full-tilt up the trunk of a paperbark tree in hot pursuit of a mouse, the monitor hit a stretch of shaggy trunk and simply vanished. With no visible opening to the naked eye, no pause, and no slowing down, the lightning-fast predator slipped straight through the hidden layer of bark into the unknown.
