3 exhibitions in 2 days!

World Press Photo at the Ballarat Mining Exchange with was definitely the most moving, thought provoking of the exhibitions and reinforced my passion for photography and its ability to express so much without uttering a single word.

This exhibition ended today and I’m so glad I made it before it finished. The images and stories behind them really made me consider the state of the world today. The effects of global warming, of political leaders decisions and the lives they impact and how fortunate we are in Australia. Although when you read the final image you’ll see that our Press freedom could definitely be better!

So what did I take away?

I want to capture images which tell a meaningful story…your story…good or bad…a moment in time frozen to keep forever. Powerful images.

📍Ess Lagoon - Casterton

This has to be on our 🚍 bucket list! And was part of my shoot list today for the Casterton Business & Development Association.

I never cease to be surprised by the incredible landscape and passionate community in Casterton, they are absolute treasures! I enjoyed the most fabulous day being chaperoned around town and shown the highlights first hand by the locals.

I can’t wait to put all the content captured into an image and video library for them to utilise for years to come.

We’ll also be highlighting the ‘hero’ images on their new website I’m putting together. What an absolute privilege being able to work with a team of passionate business owners being creative in such tough times for small businesses.

We spent ours with family at one of our favourite places, Sovereign Hill

It was a total surprise tonight to receive ‘Best Work of Show - Photography’ with my photograph ‘Tea Party’ at the Coleraine Art & Photography Show!

There was so much incredible talent on display from our vibrant community. The volunteers have done a fabulous job with the show. If you have an opportunity to get over to Coleraine this weekend, please do.
