Sunsets and Sunrise at Lake Tyrrell.
I am lucky to have been treated to many awesome sunsets and sunrises at Lake Tyrrell.
And each time it is different but spectacular. It is the kind of thing that always brings a smile to your dial :)
Here are a fraction of the hundreds of images I took. It is the kind of time when you keep on clicking as it just gets better and better.
A couple of these you may have seen before, but they are worth a second viewing ;)

Announcing - Lake Tyrrell Photography Tour!
2026 Tour Dates: (3 days, 2 nights)
Starts: Friday, 2 October at 2:00pm
Finishes: Sunday, 4 October at 10:00am

This weekend is designed for photographers of all levels, and together we’ll explore:
Composition techniques
How to improve your overall photography.
Understanding exposure and focus
Understanding neutral density filters
Advanced techniques such as panoramas, intentional camera movement, stacking and bracketing.
The magic of night photography

Happy Earth Day!!
Calling all photographers...Let's celebrate how we capture our amazing planet by posting your favourite landscape image below!!
Today is a day to celebrate what we do as photographers in showing our beautiful earth.
To those who dont take pictures, enjoy the show :)
My photo below is Vestrahorn in Iceland. Standing on the black sand beach with this imposing mountain reflecting in the water is something I dont want to forget. It is an amazing place.
I took this on my widest lens - the 16mm. It only just fit - otherwise I would have had to do a panorama.

It has been a tough decision.
But we have decided to cancel our Lofoten Islands, Norway 2026 Photography Tour.
I am really sorry but with the current world situation it is better to be safe than sorry.
I am hoping that I might be able to run local tours to Lake Tyrrell instead. The fuel crisis will dictate if we will be able to do so.
So stay tuned for that one.

Which would make the better jigsaw puzzle?
And Happy Easter!! I hope the Easter bunny found you 🐰
I took these two photos only minutes apart and the light changed dramatically in that time.
I am putting together some photos for you to vote on for the best image for new jigsaw puzzles. Click on the first photo to see it in entirety and put a love heart or comment which one you like best. 🙂

The Pink Moon - which isn't pink...
Last night I took a photo of the full moon rising. There was a bit of cloud on the horizon but I thought I would give it a shot.
I was a bit lazy in that I didn't really plan anything special. I just decided at the last minute to go into the paddock and see what I could see. Just so happens I had an audience making sure I took it right and from the right place ;)
A small mob of kangaroos - yes this is Australia in my back yard.
