I think the reason I love photographing families so much is that I remember what it was like to be little again 🥰

I get to play, laugh and have so much fun with the kids, like I am right back to being a little kid myself

It barely feels like work and I get to capture genuine moments like this one 🤎

Family photos are a reminder of what we have and an opportunity to slow down and soak it all in

Cushions, paint, furniture, candles, I absolutely love it all! Even if I can’t have scented candles 😫

So, when a friend of mine asked me to photograph her products it was a “hell yes!!”. I didn’t know they would be so stunning!! Although, I shouldn’t have been surprised

So, I think it might be a slight understatement to say I am COMPLETELY OBSESSED with these photos 🤩🤎

When Katie reached out to me and said she had a cool idea for their engagement session, I had no idea that it would turn out to be the best afternoon ever!!

It was the quickest “OMG yes, we absolutely have to do this!” I think I’ve ever said!

I went straight down the rabbit hole of looking for anything related to medieval/viking history and I even found a sword 🗡️🤣

Poor Sam may not have had any idea what was going on, but it’s pretty clear that these two were made for this era and made for each other!!

They made these photos look like magic 🤩🤩🤩

There is also a slight backstory to this session and it feels like a complete 360 moment to be able to take these photos.

So, it turns out that I knew Katie when she was really little, worlds away from where we both are now, and somehow she managed to choose me as her photographer years later! She had no idea who I was 🥰

I’m so glad she did pick me! Being the one chosen to document such a beautiful part of their story will forever be a favourite memory of mine 🤎

I can’t wait to see how they top these at their wedding! Congratulations guys Xx

This week I have had to learn to let go!

It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been necessary

I’ve had so many ideas and goals for my little business and some have been in the pipeline for a while

That’s the problem…

Sometimes we don’t get to live out our dreams because we aren’t ready and others are!!

It’s heartbreaking, but we have to learn to be happy for other people’s success, especially other small businesses (or people we know)

Sometimes it’s just not meant to be

Either way, I have to be ok with letting go and I’m still not sure how I feel about it

Some people might think it’s OTT but I think having personalised details like this little envelope stamp make your day 🤎

It’s small, it’s almost hidden and no one else probably knows it’s there but I guarantee you I will see it and I will make sure it gets seen!!

I live for those small details 🤩

They are what make the day special and it doesn’t matter that no one else knows, as long as you do!

You get to look back at the photos and see the small initials in the background or a handwritten poem and instantly it takes you back

I think everyone should include hidden details on their special day 🥰

And if you need help designing something like this, I can do that too Xx

It’s been a topic of debate in the photography world since the beginning of time…

Sun or no sun?

I actually like some photos when they are in full sun! I think it depends on the vibe/mood/theme of the shoot

Sometimes the sun adds that little something that’s missing ☀️

Just know that I’m not afraid to photograph in the sun, especially on your big day!

You only have that day, so we have to make it count!!
