A little dirt, a little drama and a whole lot of determination! 💥

The NT Titles certainly delivered some unforgettable moments, and this one deserves a medal for sheer commitment!

Because apparently, crossing the finish line is optional… but giving up IS NOT!

EDITING MODE: ACTIVATED… SEND AIR CON!

When your day is already looking ridiculously busy, but somehow you're smashing out gallery after gallery like a woman possessed! 🤣

Last night turned into a 2AM editing marathon, and the gallery count is looking a little something like this…

And because apparently life wasn't chaotic enough, I've had to relocate my entire editing headquarters to Mum's house… because she actually has WORKING FANS AND AIR CONDITIONING! 🥵😂

Nothing quite like trying to edit beautiful, dreamy, romantic photos while you're personally experiencing the temperature of the sun! ☀️🔥

At this point, Mum's house has become the unofficial Valley Photography NT headquarters, I'm running on determination and questionable amounts of caffeine, and Lightroom and I are in a very complicated yet committed relationship.

But hey… GALLERIES ARE FLYING OUT THE DOOR!

So if you're waiting on your photos, keep an eye on those emails! I'm working my way through them faster than Mum can ask when I'm going home! 😂❤️

Sometimes the best sessions are worth the drive. 🤎

A drive about 300km south-west towards the Daly River region took us out to the absolutely gorgeous Elizabeth Downs Station — or “Lizzie Downs” as it’s affectionately known.

Driving into this place honestly feels like you’ve stepped straight onto the set of a Top End version of McLeod’s Daughters — and those were pretty much the first words out of my daughter’s mouth when she saw it!

We were there to catch up with our gorgeous friends Demi-Rose Quirk and Beau and their two little ones for a family session around the station.

And seriously… what more could a photographer ask for?

Beautiful old station buildings, endless paddocks, cattle, gorgeous Top End country and more incredible little spots to photograph than I knew what to do with. Every time we moved, I found another location I wanted to use.

But more than anything, it was just lovely spending time with this beautiful little family in a place that is part of their everyday life.

Lizzie Downs, you’re a pretty special little piece of the Territory.

We’ve been super busy behind the scenes and playing a little catch-up!

Our page might have been a little quiet lately, but there has been nothing quiet about our shoots!

Gorgeous Trudy recently took the plunge and stepped in front of my camera for an empowerment beach session — all about doing something for herself, embracing who she is and getting some of that confidence back. ❤️

And I tell ya… choosing between black & white or colour has never been harder! 😍

There’s something so powerful about the black & white, but the colour is just as gorgeous.

This evening, feeling every bit of the past few days thanks to some very unintentional squats and running barefoot over hot rocks, I headed out to the Pine Forest to meet up with Gaby, Britt and their boys for a fun afternoon family session.

And what a beautiful way to finish the weekend.

Plenty of laughs, cheeky moments, boys being boys and those natural little interactions that make family sessions so much fun to capture.

My legs might be questioning my life choices right now 😂, but spending the afternoon amongst the pines capturing this gorgeous family was absolutely worth it.

Well, yesterday saw me make the drive back to my second home — Banyan Farm on the Daly River — this time for the beautiful wedding of Kate Statham & Ryan.

Before I’d even arrived, I received the dreaded message… the bride was not in a good way and feeling incredibly nauseous.

Never fear — your photographer comes prepared! 😂 Anti-nausea tablets packed and personally delivered all the way to the Daly. Seriously, who else can say their wedding photographer also provides emergency pharmacy services? 😂

And that pretty much set the tone for a wedding that was anything but ordinary!

With the Wooliana Rd resident cattle casually roaming through the ceremony — apparently brought home from the neighbours by resident white pony Floss — there was plenty of entertainment happening around the altar.

Because really… would it even be a Daly River wedding without a little unexpected wildlife joining the guest list?

But amongst all the laughs was something incredibly special.
Instead of Kate and Ryan exchanging traditional vows with each other, their children were included in the ceremony and presented with commitment necklaces.

There is something so beautiful about choosing not only the person you love, but choosing their children too. Taking another person’s child into your heart, making a commitment to love them, support them and stand beside them as a family is something incredibly special. 🤍

After the ceremony we ventured down to the new sandy beach created by the devastating Daly River floods, where shoes came off, the fun began and we made the most of the incredible new landscape.

There were barefoot games, plenty of laughs, bridal party banter and, because apparently we hadn't had enough excitement for one wedding… a CROCODILE decided to make an appearance nearby and give us all a decent scare at the end!

From cattle at the altar to commitment necklaces, sandy feet, crocs and one absolutely hilarious bridal party, this small and intimate wedding was action-packed from the get-go — but it was also filled with so much love.

And to the bridal party… thank you for putting up with me, my directions and especially my banter. 😂 I had an absolute ball with you all.

Especially you, Scott… you know why. 😂

Last night we had the pleasure of capturing the winners of the Chamber of Commerce Northern Territory 2026 Greater Darwin Region Business Awards, held at Mindil Beach Casino.

And what an evening it was!
✨ Over 400 people
✨ 19 award categories
✨ 247 entrants

So many incredible local businesses and individuals to celebrate.

Safe to say, it was a HUGE night — and apparently also leg day for this photographer. 😂

Between squatting, crouching, running around and lifting cameras for hours, I’m pretty sure I accidentally squeezed in a full workout while capturing it all!

Congratulations to all of the finalists and winners. It was fantastic to see so many hardworking Territory businesses recognised and celebrated.
