I'm currently out capturing some images of the wild and beautiful Martuwarra/Fitzroy River in the Kimberley.
The National Heritage listed Martuwarra Fitzroy River is one of Australia’s great remaining intact rivers, a raging torrent after heavy monsoonal rains, which recedes to pools and wetland refuges by the end of the dry season.
It's been constantly in threat over the year from daming, water removal allocations and now Fracking. Please go to the Environs Kimberley website and help look after this very important river system.

A few observations while on my photo tour in the Kimberley, so far! Some of the things you do want to see, like small pools on the road that attracts birds, and some of the things you dont like very muddy tracks and broken down caravans getting taking off the Gibb River Road.
