Found this dude in the Kalahari desert one morning and within minutes he dug up a small leopard tortoise right next to our vehicle and proceeded to try and figure out how to crack the shell.

Does this look like a scene you might encounter traveling across South Africa? Many people have savannahs and bushveld in mind, but our country has plenty of forested areas where natural rainforests occur in specific pockets - like in the Magoebaskloof region of Limpopo.

This photo was taken a few years ago on a morning walk in these forests.
