30 AUGUST 2026

BY: PROPHET NHP

I greet you all mother, father's, youth, Sunday school and our visitors in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I welcome you all to hear the word of God today.

Today we are starting with our series of Growing spiritual is very important, God does not expect us to remain in one level, He expect us to grow.

TOPIC:THE JOURNEY OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH (SERIES)

Every believer is expected to grow spiritual. salvation is not the end of the journey, it is the beginning. When we are born again, we begin as spiritual babies, God does not expect us to remain babies forever, He's expecting us to grow. Growth does not happen overnight, a baby does not become an adult in one day, there are stages. When God called us, He never called us to remain babies, We are expected to grow. Any believer who wants to remain as babies, forget about understanding deep things of God.

It is not enough to say, “I am saved.” God expects you to continue growing in your relationship with Him, growing in the Word, growing in prayer, growing in faith, growing in character, and growing in obedience. Growing is a choice. You choose to grow, and you can also choose to remain a baby. But God does not expect anyone who calls themselves a believer to remain spiritually immature. God is expecting you to grow.

Growth is a process. There are stages in spiritual growth, just as there are stages in physical and educational growth. A child does not start in Grade 7; they begin at an early stage and progress step by step. In the same way, we grow spiritually from one level to another. When you grow spiritual, there are certain things you will no longer do. There are certain words you will no longer speak. There are certain places you will no longer go. There are certain behaviours you will no longer accept.

When you are not growing spiritually, it becomes easier to sin, and you may even reach a point where you no longer feel convicted about your actions. But when you grow, the Holy Spirit begins to correct you. You become more sensitive to the things of God. You begin to understand what is right and what is wrong. Your conscience becomes more aware of what pleases God.

Apostle Paul says When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things." There must come a time in your Christian life when you put away childish things. Your speech must change. Your thinking must change. Your behaviour must change. Your character must change.

JOHN 3:1-5, 7-8

[1] Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council.

[2] He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”

[3] Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

[4] “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”

[5] Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.

[7] You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.

[8] The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

Nicodemus was confused even though he was a teacher, the reason is because he was not growing, that's why he asked Jesus, how can a man be born when he is old? Spiritual growth is important, some people say that Jesus is the prophet, Jesus is not the Prophet is God, we cannot compare Him with Mohammed.
Spiritual growth is powerful, it makes you understand the deep things of the spirit, and it become easy for you to do the will of God as you live in this earth.

Religion does not have power to make you grow spiritual, it can make you strong in the flesh but it will never make you grow spiritual. Religion does not change the heart but it changes the behavior of a person. PGrowth is important because when you grow, you do not simply do what everybody else is doing. You begin to understand who you are in Christ. You stop comparing yourself with other people.

As you grow, do not allow anything in this world to disturb you or stop you from moving forward. Do not give the devil a time in your life. The Bible teach us that the enemy looks for an opportunity to gain access to our lives, but spiritual growth helps us to recognize those dangers and stand firm in Christ.

One of the reasons people fail to grow is because they do not study the Word of God. Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." We understand that the physical body needs physical food, and our spiritual life also needs spiritual food, which is The Word of God.

Psalm 95:6

[6] Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Worship is more than singing it is giving God our hearts, our attention, and our surrender. No matter what you are going through, take your eyes off the situation and fix them on Jesus. He is still worthy, He is still faithful, and He is still God. Come before Him with a grateful heart and worship Him with everything you have.

BY: MINISTER C HLATSWAYO [DAUGHTER]

I Greet everyone in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ and saviour.

: BE A VESSEL THAT GOD CAN USE AT ANY TIME

2 Timothy 2:20- 21

[20] But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver but also of wood and of earth and some to honour and some to dishonour.

[21] If a man therefore purge himself from these he shall be a vessel unto honour sanctified and meet for the masters use and prepared unto every good work.

God is looking for vessels that are available prepared clean and willing to be used whenever He needs them.

God does not only use people when they are standing in front of a crowd. He can use you anywhere at any time and in any situation.

Sometimes God wants to use you to encourage someone. Sometimes He wants you to pray for somebody. Sometimes He wants you to speak a word help someone give serve or simply demonstrate His love.

The question is not Am I ready for a big opportunity? The question is Am I available whenever God needs me?

Moses is a good example. When God called Moses Moses did not feel qualified. He gave God many reasons why he could not go. He felt that he was not capable and that he did not have the right ability. But God was not looking at Moses ability alone. God was looking for someone who would be willing to obey Him.

Sometimes we also make excuses. We say I am too young. I do not know enough. I am not important. I cannot do it. But when God chooses a vessel He is able to equip that vessel for the assignment.

A vessel must also be clean. A vessel can be beautiful on the outside but if it is dirty on the inside it cannot be used for something valuable.

In the same way God is concerned about what is happening inside us. Our hearts motives attitudes thoughts and character matter.

God wants a vessel that He can trust with what He places inside it.
Before God uses you publicly He may first need to work on you privately. Before He sends you He may need to prepare you. Do not resist the process.

There is a difference between saying God can use me and actually being prepared when God wants to use you.

Preparation happens when nobody is watching. Prayer prepares you. Studying the Word prepares you. Serving prepares you. Obedience prepares you. Faithfulness in small things prepares you for greater things.

Moses spent many years in the wilderness before God called him to lead His people. What looked like a quiet and ordinary season was actually preparation for a great assignment.

Do not despise your small season. God may be preparing you for something you cannot see yet.

Sometimes we tell ourselves When I have more money then God can use me. When I know more then God can use me. When my life is perfect then I will serve God.

But God can use you right where you are.
Your vessel may look small but what matters is whose hands it is in.

Give God what you have. Give Him your time. Give Him your voice. Give Him your hands. Give Him your gifts. Give Him your availability.

What is ordinary in your hands can become extraordinary in Gods hands.
God does not need a vessel that only hears Him. He needs a vessel that will obey Him.

There will be moments when God asks you to do something that does not make sense to you. Your responsibility is not always to understand everything before you obey.

Sometimes obedience requires faith. You may not know where the assignment will take you but you must trust the One who called you.

Before God gives you something bigger He watches how you handle what is already in your hands.

Do not say I am only an usher. I am only cleaning. I am only praying. I am only helping.
There is no only when you are serving God.

Be faithful when nobody applauds you. Be faithful when nobody notices you. Be faithful when the assignment seems small.

A vessel can be used for different purposes depending on what the owner wants.
In the same way do not put God in a box and tell Him how He must use you.

One day He may use you to preach. Another day He may use you to encourage someone. Another day He may use you to pray. Another day He may simply use your kindness to touch somebody's life.

The important thing is to remain available.
Be a vessel that God can use at any time.

Be available.
Be prepared.
Be clean.
Be obedient.
Be faithful.
When God needs someone let Him find you ready.

Do not wait for a big platform before you decide to serve God. Start where you are. Use what you have. Be faithful with what God has already placed in your hands.
God is looking for vessels that He can use.

Let your prayer be
Lord make me a vessel that You can use at any time.
