Fujifilm ambassador, Kreesan Naidoo, created his Sunday Drives film recipe looking to match the mood of Sundays growing up in Durban. “Rising early, the stillness of the road, and eventually seeing stunning automobiles parked at the car meet to admire in detail – is what I hoped to evoke with this recipe,” he says.

Sunday Drives is meant to isolate drama, and with Eterna Bleach Bypass’ origins from cinema, you’d expect it to do so effectively. With this recipe one can take a step back from the distractions of colour to focus on deeper tones, a rich contrast and evoking emotion from your subject.

As we enjoyed morning coffee in Timbavati a lone spotted hyena came down to bathe in the cool water.

Coffee was put on hold for a couple of minutes as we sat by the waters edge to get a few shots. It was an opportunity to experiment with shutter speeds as the hyena's tail splashed in the water.
