On 9 August 2025, we gathered at the Steinkopf Community Centre for a homecoming screening of ‘Hophuis: A Site of Dance and Solidarity’. A full-moon moment in which the film returned to the very space that inspired it, expanding ‘Hophuis’ into a living series of films, gatherings and spatial interventions that aim to reconnect community to the building. We do give tanks!

Moments from our sound and video editing workshop this past Friday with Columbia GSAPP students. Held as part of Ilze Wolff's architecture studio - 'Dollar Brand's African Space (and Liberation) Programme'.

"Sound is defined by vibrations that travel through the air or another medium and can be heard when they reach the ear. Yet there is more to it when one imagines the hearing process as an involuntary command placed upon the body to be processed instantly. This realization can lead us to use sound as a means to inoculate one another with positivity, encouragement, and a connective awareness if we so choose." -- Georgia Anne Muldrow
