I just love what I do! There’s something so incredibly special photographing food for magazines - you get to see a recipe before it becomes a printed page!
For a little while, it’s just us, the food, the styling, the light - and the job of making it look every bit as delicious as it tastes. September issue is out!

Sometimes work gets you to travel.

And sometimes the work becomes so much more than the job you went there to do.

George was a few incredibly full days at the The Hawthorn Boutique Hotel — cameras, food, kitchens, beautiful spaces and, more than anything, really special people. An absolute privilege to work with these people! Gregory Cooper

Then a drive down the road to Sedgefield. Beach, lake, fresh air and space to think.

I keep coming back to this:
Opportunity rarely finds you standing still.

Sometimes you have to pack the bag. Get on the plane. Say yes before you know exactly how everything is going to unfold.

And every now and then, what begins as work turns into one of those weeks that gives you far more than you ever expected.

No expectation.
No permission needed.
Just a reminder to create for the joy of it. To play. To experiment - the best creative energy comes from - not from having to produce, but from remembering why you started.

Beautiful food, carefully created recipes, thoughtful styling, and all the details that happen before the final image is made. These are the moments I love - the adjusting, the choosing of textures and colours, lighting - all the decisions that bring a dish to life.
