There are some friendships that belong to a season… and then there are the ones that somehow become part of your story. Johan-Frederik and Jonah, this session was such a beautiful glimpse of that kind of friendship. The kind where you don't just stand beside one another for the photographs, you cheer each other on, laugh ridiculously loudly together, have each other's backs and walk into whatever comes next knowing you're not doing it alone. And judging by these photos… there is definitely no shortage of laughter between these two.
With their gorgeous partners, Hanna and Ciara, beside them, this foursome absolutely OWNED their Matric Dance session. From twirls and dips beside that beautiful old Mercedes to linked arms, big laughs and that effortless "yes, we understood the assignment" energy, they were more than ready for a night on the town.
But beneath all the beautiful dresses, sharp suits and Matric Dance excitement lies something even more special: friendship at the edge of change.
School is almost behind you. Adulthood, new adventures, different paths and some pretty big decisions are waiting just around the corner. And while life may take you in different directions, there is something incredibly comforting about having people who knew you before all the next chapters began.
Johan-Frederik, Jonah and family, thank you for trusting me with these moments. For bringing the laughter, the friendship, the movement and ALL the personality to this session. It was an absolute joy capturing you exactly as you are in this little pause between almost finished with school and ready to take on the world.
May adulthood be incredibly kind to you. May your adventures be big, your friendships remain strong and may you always have people beside you who celebrate your wins, carry you through the hard days… and are willing to look fabulous in formalwear while doing it.
