So blessed to have been able to visit the Smit's favourite place again.

Each time we arrive there's another beautiful surprise waiting for us.

The new verandas (well not so new, but the first time we've had one) on each tent are absolute perfection. Whether you're watching wildlife stroll past as if they own the place, or enjoying an afternoon nap. This may be my new favourite spot.

The gorgeous new fire pit and cosy lounge at the lodge make it even harder to convince yourself it's time to leave.

And then there's the food! Every meal is ridiculously delicious. Add to that the happiest, friendliest staff, and it's impossible not to feel completly at home.

Mark Marshall & Tracey Marshall thank you for creating this little slice of heaven. You've poured your hearts, souls, endless hard work and love into every corner of this place, and it shows. It isn't just a lodge, it's an experience and somewhere we leave with full hearts (and very full stomachs).

There is something special about knowing someone for what feels like a lifetime. Watching them navigate their very first job, being with them as they got married, and then seeing them become parents to not one, but three beautiful children. I’ve had the privilege of watching you grow through every chapter of life.

And through it all, you’ve watched me too — getting married, becoming a mom to two incredible boys, celebrating life’s happiest moments, and being there through the heartbreak of losing loved ones.

Friendships like this are rare. The kind built over years. So many memories, milestones, laughter, tears, and support. I’m so grateful our lives have grown alongside one another, and I hope we still have many more years, memories, and milestones ahead of us. Nadia Bishop
