A little milestone worth celebrating...and it's not often that I do.

Over the years, my photography has earned recognition through national competitions, international exhibitions and published features. My work has been exhibited in Spain, Vietnam, South Africa and the USA, and featured in publications including Getaway Magazine, Get It Ballito, The Ballito Magazine, The Bay Mag, Simply Birding Africa and ArchDaily; and I'm especially proud to have raised and donated R70,000 through print sales to support anti-poaching efforts at Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Game Reserve back in 2011.

Thank you to every client, friend, family member, publication and supporter who has been a part of this journey. Your trust and encouragement mean the world to me. ❤️

There’s something magical about a family session by the ocean when nature decides to show off a little. Enormous, soft clouds drifting overhead, the salty breeze dancing through hair, rolling blue waves stretching endlessly into the horizon and just when we thought it couldn’t any better… rainbows appearing like little gifts from the universe.

These are the moments I love capturing most. The wild laughter, sandy feet, windblown hair and the deep connection between people who call each other home...

The beach has a way of slowing everything down and reminding us of what really matters the most. 🤍

People see a pricey photoshoot and think photographers are taking home the total amount in profit… and I promise that’s not reality 🥹
What most people don’t see is everything that goes on behind the scenes of running a photography business.
A session payment doesn’t just go into my pocket, it goes towards:
✨ taxes
✨ gallery delivery + website fees
✨ editing software subscriptions
✨ SD cards + hard drives
✨ camera bodies + lenses
✨ props + setups
✨ gas/travel
✨ insurance
✨ advertising
✨ continuing education
✨ equipment maintenance/upgrades
And then there’s the biggest thing of all … time.

The actual session is only a tiny portion of the job. There’s hours spent planning, communicating, culling galleries, hand editing images, delivering galleries, bookkeeping, answering messages/emails and so much more that nobody really sees.
Photography is so much more than “just taking pictures,” it’s a full business, a creative service and honestly a huge labor of love. 🤍

I completely understand that professional photography isn’t in everyone’s budget and that’s okay, but I’ll always be thankful for the clients who value the work, time and heart that goes into creating these memories for you. 🫶
