Because she’s your first you think you won’t forget all the little things about her. The way her little giggle sounds or how perfectly she fits in your arms or how wispy her little curls are. Then, you have another baby and while some of the sweet and funny moments will always stick with you eventually you realize ,but only by looking back at pictures, “oh my gosh I forgot how wispy your little curls were!” And if you’re like me you end up having another and another and then two more and all the little things start to blend together no matter how hard you try. Thank goodness I’ve written things down along the way, but looking at old photographs of my babies hits different. Sometimes I’m overwhelmed with how blessed I feel to have them and sometimes I’m overwhelmed with how much I can’t remember [that I swore I could never forget] but either way…overwhelmed. Motherhood with all it’s ups and downs and beautiful little things is just that way, isn’t it?!
