My son. My Senior. My last baby.
I’ve heard it said recently that their childhood is like a long goodbye, disguised as a thousand ordinary days. And I’ve never felt that so much as I do now. I asked him to humor me by bringing his childhood bunny to the shoot - the same bunny that his final binky/pacifier is sewn into on the inside, the same bunny he slept with every night, the same bunny he’s had since just before his second birthday. The moment I saw these images on the back of my camera, the tears started flowing and they’ve come in spurts ever since.

Senior parents…I’m walking this journey with you. And I promise, we’re going to be okay - and so are they!

This sweet girl is the FOURTH baby I’ve had the honor of photographing for this family, and moments like this never stop meaning the world to me. Mom sent me a floral inspiration image before their session, and I tucked every little detail away while creating this setup just for her baby girl.
