A little lengthy appreciation post: First photo represents how I feel inside as of late (all smiles!!) to those in the past year who have trusted me to help tell their story, whether in the food industry, life milestones, brand photos for their business, etc. I truly appreciate each and every one of you!
I’ve been reflecting a bit on my interests in photography and how it’s evolved over the years and how I’m literally learning ever. single. photo sesh. I remember wanting to pick up a camera after seeing my brother taking amazing photos of his travels (then I ended up taking his camera whoops), so a special shoutout to him for introducing me to this hobby I’ve come to love so much.
Living in my hometown (truth be told, longer than expected but things happen for a reason!!) I decided I wanted to at least do something that brings me joy and where I can connect and help others, and the camera has helped me to do that. I had a conversation with a cousin about it, and one thing she said was how I always keep managing to come back to the camera. Even if I set it down for days, months, or even years, I always seem to come back to it, because I’ve always LOVED storytelling and creating, and as a semi-introvert, photography helps me to connect with others and step out of my comfort zone. I still get in over my head with comparison sometimes to others, but I have to tell myself I’m only going to evolve if I learn, and so that’s what I’ll continue doing. I always love working with others, but even more so I love picking up my camera on my travels and seeing what the world has to tell me.
But I truly do love creating and I only hope I continue to learn new skills, meet new folks, and gain experiences within the photography world, so thank you to those who reach out and allow me to help them capture their achievements and events, and those who connect me to others and help me grow as an individual. 🤎
