Le Voyageur

Everybody that visits the Wildwoods has that place or two that they’ve been by a million times, always wondering what it’s like to experience it. Whether it’s a motel, a restaurant, a shop or an arcade on the island, eventually curiosity piques and you have to pursue that experience. For WWHT, this was the Le Voyageur on East Andrews Avenue!

Located about a block and a half off the Wildwood Boardwalk, Le Voyageur is yet another hidden gem of a motel here in the Wildwoods. A beautiful sunny day brings all of the right energy to the summer colors of the building, matched perfectly with faux palm trees, a staple for any Wildwoods lodging destination. Like all of our rooms at previous locations so far, our room at Le Voyageur was spacious, inviting, comfortable, and spotless, providing a feeling of relaxation as soon as we stepped foot inside. Nighttime brought a unique energy as well, hearing the sounds of the boardwalk and seeing the motel’s blue pop in its lighting.

WWHT was very well taken care of here, and we would like to extend our warmest thanks to Kris and Rose from Le Voyageur! We’ve been very fortunate to have 20 visits that have all been successes, making Le Voyageur not only visit number 21 but yet another successful and positive Hotel Tour location. We couldn’t be happier for the experience, and we are thrilled to add another great facility to our list of recommendations!

2026 Week 22 review!

This week’s highlights:

- Our post revisiting Seaport Suites, captured on the 2024 Hotel Tour and our 8th total visit
- Our 3rd Feature Visit for the 2026 Hotel Tour, the Horizon Motor Inn
- A stop for breakfast at the wonderful Admiral’s Table Restaurant and a quick visit to the Admiral Resort Motel

*** 2026 Hotel Tour Visit no. 3***

Horizon Motor Inn

Okay, we have to admit it; WWHT has not stayed in North Wildwood as much as we have in the City and Crest since we’ve started in 2022. This year, we wanted to change that and add at least two North Wildwood visits to the 2026 Hotel Tour. Although not in our original plans, we found a reservation at the Horizon Motor Inn located on East 21st Avenue.

Conveniently located about 1/2 a block off the legendary Wildwood Boardwalk, the Horizon Motor Inn stands tall with its unique architecture and facility layout that captures your eye quickly. Check In was quick, painless, and seamless, as we were warmly greeted by the motel’s owner. WWHT was fortunate to be given a two-room suite which was spotless from top to bottom, comfortable, and up to date; the facility’s cleanliness extended to the exterior as well, exemplifying well-maintained conditions. Like all of our previously Featured Locations, comfort and cleanliness are paramount at the Horizon.

WWHT is happy to say that we found another gem in North Wildwood when it comes to the hotels and motels. We reserved our room on booking.com for a total of $112.86, which was just for one night. We found this rate to be an incredible value for the type of room we had and its comforts, and we couldn’t be happier! If you haven’t been to this lodging destination yet, it’s definitely worth a visit!

Armada By-The-Sea

Over the course of the last 4 years, the Wildwood Hotel Tour has visited many wonderful lodging facilities on the island. We’ve been very fortunate and blessed that each facility we have visited has brought us nothing but positive experiences; for our trip to the Armada by the Sea, our expectations were not only reached, they were surpassed…

Built in 1972 and opened for the ‘73 Season, the Armada is multi-generation family owned and operated facility that makes you feel at home from the moment you reach the front awning. You’re greeted with the kind of warmth and welcoming as if you are one of the Armada family members yourself, surrounded by spotless detail and an aura of feeling like you’re truly at home. Comfort and cleanliness are paramount at this facility, as close attention is paid to the inside and out, top to bottom. Arriving to our room, we were blessed with a beautiful oceanfront suite which was perfect for any hour spent soaking up the beach atmosphere. All spots around the resort allowed us to capture many wonderful images, too many to share in just one post!

Upon meeting with the Armada last year, we knew that this visit was going to be special. The Tecco family took very, very good care of us on our visit, and we are grateful beyond words for their hospitality! We cannot thank the Tecco’s enough for this incredible opportunity to share your pride and joy with the Wildwood Hotel Tour. Not only is it beautiful to see facilities like this be given lots of love, effort, and care for all in the Wildwoods to enjoy, it’s even more beautiful when the love that goes into them is a family affair that carries on into the future…
