Omar + Arely’s engagement session somehow became one of those shoots I never wanted to end.

We started with a quiet little picnic in the field, cowboy boots, wildflowers, soft summer light and all the sweet, romantic moments you’d expect…

…and then things got progressively more unhinged. 😂

There was running. There was chasing. There was lifting. There was a truck. There was a tie. There was, at one point, a fiancé very questionably secured in the bed of said truck.

And somehow, in the middle of all of that chaos, we made something that felt so completely them.

We also filmed a little vintage-inspired video alongside the photos, and getting to tell their story through both stills and motion was honestly such a blast. The whole session felt less like posing for engagement photos and more like making a tiny movie together.

Sweet. Weird. Romantic. Cinematic. A little ridiculous.

Basically everything I love.

Omar + Arely, thank you for trusting me with the vision, fully committing to the bit, and making this one of the most fun engagement sessions I’ve ever photographed.

I am wildly obsessed with this entire story. 🤎

The first time I photographed the Beaupre family, we were celebrating Nora’s first birthday with her cake smash. And now, here we are — watching that same little girl prepare for an entirely new role: big sister. 🥹

We spent this warm late-summer evening documenting their family exactly as they are in this little in-between season — picking flowers, reading big-sister books, looking through ultrasound pictures, discovering butterflies, and soaking up some of their final moments as a family of three.

Soon, there will be another tiny person tucked into these arms. Another little hand for Nora to hold. Another chapter of the Beaupre family’s story to tell.

This is one of my favorite parts of what I do. I don’t just want to photograph one chapter of your life. I want to be there as the story keeps going.

Beaupre family, thank you for inviting me back into yours. I can’t wait to watch Nora become a big sister. 🤍🌿🦋

Arely & Omar came to me with the CUTEST idea for their engagement session: dreamy, romantic, vintage western vibes… with just a tiny plot twist. 😂

They had the vision. I got to bring it to life. And I think it’s safe to say I’m officially hooked.

There’s something so special about being invited back into a family’s story. 🤎

The Hayhurst family welcomed their beautiful baby girl, Elena, and I got to spend this morning documenting this brand new chapter — the tiny toes, the sleepy snuggles, the way Mom and Dad look at their girls, and sweet Eliza already completely smitten with her baby sister.

Elena and Eliza are absolutely beautiful, and the love surrounding these two girls was everywhere I looked.

These are the kinds of mornings I wish I could bottle up forever. The quiet, ordinary, fleeting moments that somehow become the ones we miss the most.

Welcome to the world, sweet Elena. You are already so very loved. 🤎

I officially have just TWO weekend dates left in September, and every October weekend is BOOKED! 🍂

After those September dates are gone, my next regular weekend availability won’t be until mid-November.

Some friendships start over coffee. Ours started in the OR. 😂🩺

Marika and I go way back to our nursing days together — NURSES FOR LIFE — so getting to photograph this season of her life feels extra special.

And then there’s Jason. ❤️

These two are the absolute perfect combination of sweet, goofy, sassy, and completely smitten with each other. We spent the evening in a field with a picnic blanket, a deck of cards, a whole lot of laughing, and approximately zero ability to take anything too seriously — which, honestly, feels exactly right for them.

Marika, seeing you this happy makes my heart ridiculously happy. And knowing I get to be behind the camera when you two get married next year?!

I. CANNOT. WAIT. 🥹🤍

There’s something so beautiful about the waiting. 🤍

Erik + Medina are soaking up these last few weeks before they meet their baby boy, and you could quite literally see the joy all over Medina’s face every time we talked about him. She was glowing — not just because that late summer light was showing off, but because she is so incredibly excited to become his mama.

We spent the afternoon wandering through the field, laughing, loving on that sweet baby bump, and of course making sure Lyric got plenty of attention before being officially promoted to big sibling. 🐾

I love maternity sessions for exactly this reason. Someday, these photos won’t just show them what Medina looked like while carrying their son. They’ll remind them what this season felt like — the anticipation, the excitement, the love, and the little family they were just before they became something new.

Baby boy, you are already so very loved. 🤎
