Seven. No longer little but not quite big. Seven is soccer practice and scraped knees. Starting to understand the world. Gangly arms and legs that still want to cuddle and asking questions that are hard to answer. Seven is favorite books and telling jokes and begging to stay up late. Seven is missing several teeth. Seven is social, emotional, and a little dictatorial. Seven is silly faces and a big heart. And always, always the best laugh. Seven is starting to do things alone. Being brave and pushing boundaries. Seven is never short on ideas or imagination. Seven wants to be all the things: an athlete, an astronaut, the president. Seven thinks anything is possible (and it probably is). Seven is making new friends for life. Running around at recess. Running everywhere. Seven is giving me a run for my money. 🩵
