✖️ August 29th Stranger Session is CANCELLED ✖️
Planning this Stranger Session has felt like the “snip snap, snip snap” portion of The Office. If you know, you know.
This was my first attempt at doing one of these - and I’ve learned a lot. This is no one persons fault, but a collective. The point of this is to highlight where things went wrong - and ultimately make my expectations clear moving forward. I REALLY want to be able to offer this experience for my followers.
Each time that I had someone back out, I would immediately post on TikTok and other platforms to find a replacement - and would then rescreen all apps to see if I could find a good fit. It was important to me that the couples selected for the session were truly compatible- to ensure that it would be a comfortable, fun experience for everyone. As soon as I would find a gal replacement, the guy would back out. Then I’d find a guy replacement, only for the gal to back out. It’s been a lot of back and forth and a lot of leg work - and unfortunately, I feel as though it’s finally time to admit, and accept, defeat.
Another piece of the puzzle - I booked a beautiful venue. I’ve been communicating back and forth with this venue planning out such a special experience for the couple. I also made sure I had proper equipment to record the behind the scenes and interviews. I put so much effort into this - and I hate that I have to sit it out.
But, I have to remind myself - it’s not all a loss. I am still very excited for the September 5th Stranger Session that I have coordinated. I think I have the perfect match selected and I cannot wait to see how the two individuals interact together.
Moving forward, I will be a bit more hard 🍑 with my screening. I am only entertaining SERIOUS inquiries. I do not want any more time wasted for myself - that could be spent with my family or paid business opportunities. More importantly, I do not want the chance to be taken from individuals that truly want to experience a Stranger Session. I will be requiring the selected candidates to pay for their spot. I feel as though that’s the only way I’ll be able to have the participants see this as a true commitment. I believe that it being a “free” opportunity makes it easier to forego. If you show up for the planned session - I’ll absolutely give you the money back. This has never been about money to me. I just wanted to have fun.
I have gained a lot of followers from posting about the sessions - whether it be individuals wanting to partake in the sessions, or those that just wanted to follow along. Therefore, I felt like you all deserved the transparency here. I just wanted to share all of this with everyone. If you read this far, thank you. ❤️
Any future dates for Stranger Sessions will be announced after the September 5th session.
