Jo Julia Photography Wedding & Portrait Photography I am zealous about all things vintage, rock n’ roll, and true love.

My passion for photography began as a small child watching my grandpa with his camera. He was a master at his craft and he supported his faith in my photographic eye by passing on his favorite cameras. Combining my love for traveling and my pursuit of photography, I began photographing people in need around the world to inspire aid for their communities. Upon returning to the states, I worked for

an online bag company for six years creating high end product photography to represent the company's online image. This taught me attention to detail and advanced my knowledge in lighting and composition. However, this did not meet my strong desire to photograph people, and especially to capture people in love. This need to creatively tell people’s love stories led me to focus on wedding photography where I have been able to truly tap into the art of capturing the most beautiful day in people's lives. My style is mostly photo-journalistic, focusing on capturing genuine expressions and the real "you". What I love most about photographing people is capturing that moment where the walls come down and the true self emerges.
