Sometimes when I’m out photographing nature, I’ll just sit quietly in my miniature camp chair and wait for something unexpected to happen. More often than not…nothing happens. 😄
But recently, while watching an Owl, I suddenly witnessed a Blue Jay launch an attack on it.(First image) A few minutes later, I focused on another Owl…and this time a Crow came flying in and literally slammed into it mid-perch.
The Owl absorbed the blow, then immediately took off in hot pursuit of the Crow. From what I’ve learned about Owls over the years…they are not birds I’d want to mess with
