Kicking off wedding season with a celebration unlike any I've photographed before.

I've spent years photographing weddings and events at the Daniel Fisher House. Usually, it's filled with hundreds of guests, bustling with energy and movement. As a photographer, I've come to know the space through that lens. But this wedding gave me the chance to experience it in an entirely different way.

With just the two of them, the historic house felt quieter, more expansive, and somehow more intimate. The wide-open rooms held a different kind of energy as they got ready, exchanged vows, and celebrated together. Without the usual bustle, every glance, every laugh, and every moment seemed to linger a little longer.

Photographing their day reminded me that every wedding leaves its own imprint on a space. This one transformed one of the Island's most iconic venues into something deeply personal—a place where two people could simply focus on each other and the commitment they were making, and I wanted their photos to reflect that.
