It can be hard to get up before the sun ☀️ but that’s when the fun starts! For me, I can go both ways. I love getting up early just to be able to witness peaceful moments like these on the beach but there are days I want to sleep just a little longer. So how about you? Are you one to get the early worm or catch a few more Z’s?

When I tell you that I was ecstatic after seeing this photo on the back of the camera LCD screen, I have never wanted to get back home and edit so badly before. Manatees were always a bucket list species to photograph and consider myself very fortunate to live (semi)close to the springs. It hurts to know that humans are responsible for numerous injuries to these wonderful creatures.Remember to boat responsibly, follow rules and regulations. Never pet, feed, chase, or harass wildlife.

After struggling last manatee season and feeling like I could’ve come away with better photos, I wanted to push myself to take a wider range of photos and include more of the environment this time around. I took a week off from my full-time job to camp in central Florida. The day I took this photo, I was out on the River for 6 hours. Balancing on a paddle board, holding my camera with the underwater housing over the side without falling in had my arms and legs shaking. Needless to say I was sore the next day. Without an external monitor, it was hard to see what exactly what I was shooting but managed to compose this one in the little time I was able to see. This is now one of my favorite photos and I’m happy to be able to share it with you guys. Let me know what you guys think! Remember to boat responsibly, follow rules and regulations. Never pet, feed, chase, or harass wildlife.

Already missing these crystal clear waters and swimming with nurse sharks. I consider myself very lucky to have found this spot. Not only was it a hot spot for sharks but also for mating sea turtles. As much as I complain about the heat, I can’t wait for next year!

4 years ago today I was having the best time of my life on a cross country road trip, living out of my jeep, and seeing new places. Since then I have not stopped thinking about doing it again. Unfortunately I had to sell the jeep and currently drive a ford fusion. While it’s still a good car, I miss the places that this jeep took me but one day I will own another jeep(or truck or both 👀)

Today is . These carnivores are so unique and beautiful, but also endangered. There are fewer than 6,000 left out in the wild. Conservation is so important for species like the wild dogs, which is why I wanted to highlight one my favorite photo book series, . Remembering Wildlife is a charitable book series focused on raising money and awareness for conservation and threatened species around the world working with famous wildlife photographers donating their work to make these wonderful photo books. These books are one of the reasons I got into wildlife photography, in hopes of one day my photos would too, inspire others to want to action.

Hey guys! I’m currently updating my print shop with some new images to help me reach the goal of raising $1000 for wildlife conservation but I need your help. I want to know which of these three images you guys like the best. Also what do you think about me doing a giveaway? If this post reaches 100 shares I’ll do a giveaway with one of my prints!
