I know, I know. It's barely summer and I'm already craving fall...
But I was trying to decide what to post (because I'm very type B when it comes to that sort of thing and am over here just flying by the seat of my pants) and I realized I've never shared anything from this day!
The location, the colors, the sunshine, but mostly the people in these photos are what I remember most.
I'm so grateful for everything photography has brought me, but especially the people I now get to call friends. Jackie is one of the toughest women I know and I'm so proud to be her friend. When we were discussing the timeline for her wedding and she said she wanted everyone gone by 7 so she could be home and in sweatpants by 8, I knew she was my people 🤣
That's the reality of wedding days. They can truly be whatever you want! Don't cram everything in just because you feel like you HAVE to. Your day should be enjoyed and not full of pressure. I always help with the timeline and give you space for the things that matter most.
With Jackie and Derin, that meant an earlier ceremony with their closest family and friends, some good food (and cupcakes, of course) and then a slow evening enjoying the sunset. We got the most beautiful golden hour and were able to take our time with photos.
As wedding season ramps up this year, I'm so excited for all my couples and can't wait to see how unique each day will be!
