The most amazing engagement session on Lake Minnetonka for Clay and Andrea 🛥️ 🦢 🌊 🤍

Absolutely obsessed 😍! We started the session on Big Island (an island on Lake Minnetonka with some very cool history) and then ended off the session on their boat and back at the beautiful house with their doggos!

As a wedding photographer- I often like taking little videos throughout the day for my couples! 💅🏻

I may not be able to take some of the very important moments (like the first kiss etc), because that’s when I need to be locked in to get the shot! 👰‍♀️ 🤵🏻

But a laid back schedule with lots of time really allows me to capture these fun candid iPhone videos that I’m happy to share with you or make into a little reel like this! 🥰🥹

So if you don’t have the budget for videography or full on content creation, I’ve got you 🙌

Love me some flash 🥂

I photographed Abby and Duy’s wedding inside the O’Shaughnessy distillery in St Paul on a rainy day. The venue is very moody and has a warm atmosphere. I absolutely loved capturing their photos here 🥂🍹.

I used my flash for some classic, timeless shots and then combined the natural light coming in from the windows for some softer light as well. The raindrops made it extra beautiful 🤩.

I love adding variety into my galleries and playing around with lots of different light! If your wedding venue doesn’t have lots of natural light- it’s okay! Your photos will still turn out beautiful if you find someone who can capture the vision 💅🏻.

Here’s a few getting ready tips to consider for your wedding day if you want beautiful photos 🤩

•Keep a neat, clean space 🧹 (Limit clutter like cups, bags and shoes)
•Go where there’s natural light 🪟 (a window works great!)
•Don’t forget solo shots of you getting ready! 💄
•Play your fav jams 🎶
•Have a lil mimosa or drink of choice to elevate your mood 🍹
•Make sure you feel confident and comfortable in your dress and your hair & makeup 💃 (feeling uncomfortable or unhappy with your hair/makeup shows 😣)
