Portrait of a Peregrine Falcon!

Peregrine Falcons are fastest creatures on earth. They have known to clock as high as 240 mph when diving down at their target. They are often found settling in cities. New York City has highest density of peregrine falcons in the world. Out here in Massachusetts we see these falcons too. At times along hills, mountain ledges, in highrise buildings. They are pretty much used to urban environments. I spotted one such falcon who just finished eating and was resting on one electricity pole. © Sachin Sawe

Path to Tranquility!

We were at Jenny Lake at Grand Tetons National Park. If you ever visit this park, definitely go visit Jenny Lake. This is a beautiful lake with lots of trails, hikes to explore. If you visit early morning or at dusk then chances of seeing wildife on any trail are high. Make sure you carry bear spray. At this lake, we decided to go visit Moose Ponds in the hope of catching glimpse of a Moose or so. As we started on our way toward Moose Ponds trail, This is the bridge we bumped into. Just standing at this bridge looking up in the sky with clouds and those sun rays, I couldn't resist but capture this shot. Its a simple snapshot I know but something about this shot made me just stop and take it all in!! As I stood there it was asif this bridge was guiding me to a new path, The path to tranquility! © Sachin Sawe

**Almost Gone 🌕✨**

At **12:12 AM**, the Moon reached maximum eclipse—about 96% of it hidden within Earth’s shadow.

What remained was just a thin sliver of sunlight, glowing against an otherwise darkened Moon. Instead of the deep red many people expected, I was struck by the **golden, coppery glow** spreading across the shadowed lunar surface.

And then there was that ethereal halo surrounding it.

Captured with my **600mm f/4**, this was one of those moments that made staying up past midnight completely worth it.

Our planet’s shadow, cast across the Moon, creating something almost otherworldly. 🌎🌑🌕

Where the Earth Meets the Stars ✨

One of the things I will never forget about Monument Valley is the night sky.

I captured this image from the balcony of our room at The View Hotel. Right in front of us was this dramatic ledge, part of the incredible landscape that stretches across the valley and beyond it, the Milky Way rose almost vertically into the sky.

The skies here are so dark that you can see the Milky Way with your naked eyes. Sitting comfortably on the balcony of your own hotel room, surrounded by the silence and vastness of Monument Valley, and watching this incredible band of stars stretch across the sky… it was simply bliss.

To me, it almost felt as if the Milky Way was emanating from the valley itself, rising from the ancient landscape below and becoming a streak of energy flowing into the universe. ✨

And far in the distance, tiny lights and silhouettes of the landscape added just enough of a reminder that there was still a world out there beyond the darkness.

Earlier in May, I visited Grand Teton National Park for the first time. This was actually the very first picture I captured on the trip!

Simply driving along Teton Park Road, I came across this baby pronghorn, almost as if it was waiting there to pose for me. 😊 I captured this with my 70-200mm lens and was able to get the snow-capped mountains in the background. I couldn't have asked for more, especially for my very first shot in the park.

What a cute animal! And this was also the first time I had ever seen a pronghorn.

If you're visiting Grand Teton or Yellowstone, spend some time driving roads like Teton Park Road and Lamar Valley, especially around dawn and dusk. You never know what you might come across. There is wildlife everywhere, sometimes seemingly just waiting for you to stop and take a picture!

Caught this Belted Kingfisher in flight with a little crunchy snack in its mouth! 😄

No idea exactly what he caught, but whatever it was, he wasn't letting go. Full wingspan, snack secured, and off he went.

Nature's version of takeout! 😂

Very recently I posted a shot of a flying Peregreine Falcon. This image is a close up of the same shot. Peregrine Falcons are fastest creatures on earth. They have been known to clock at 240 mph when they attack nose down straight to their target. Typically these falcons find a place to nest in cities or even on ledges near urban environments. So its not uncommon to find them right among us. New York City has the highest density of nesting peregrine falcons in the entire world. © Sachin Sawe
