I bought this D200 about 3 years ago and added it to my collection of other cameras. Yes, I have several. I admit, it was an impulse buy. I read that this model is considered one of the better “Film-like” digital cameras. Meaning, the photos give it the look as if it were taken on film and not digital. I don’t use it as much, but I am always drawn back to it. It is a brick of a camera, but I have larger hands, so the size of the camera works for me. The D200 has a 10.2-megapixel CCD sensor. No frills, no Wi-Fi, just a classic DSLR camera from 2005. Best part, you can find these cameras for around $125 without a lens, $150 with a lens. Why spend $2000 for a new camera when the older ones work just as good. I used the Nikon "Nifty 50" for the photos.

Took a last-minute trip to Door County recently. The weather was still really amazing for November in the North Woods. Also, a lot of color on the trees in some areas. I've always wanted to get my own photo of this road. Now I have one. I was hoping to have more color from the trees, but I'm just glad the sun was shining.

I thrifted this camera in Aug of 2024 for $20. This is a Minolta SRT101 35mm film with the original lens, 55mm f1.7. I used a roll of 400 film. This camera model dates back to 1966. This model is from around 1969 from the serial number. It is full manual controls. I have never used a film camera that was not automatic before this one. So there is more needed to get proper photos taken. Using a light meter is recommended. It was interesting and fun to use. I highly recommend this model if you want to learn how to take photos by using manual controls. you learn a lot when using other cameras when it comes to manual settings. This camera is very easy to use and a great film SLR camera for beginners.

Here are some of the unedited photos from the camera.
