As a family photographer, I spend my days documenting childhood. And the longer I do this work, the more convinced I become of a few things:

1. Life moves faster than you think. One day you’re changing diapers, and the next you’re helping build blanket forts in the living room.
2. Children change overnight. Their faces, their voices, the way they say certain words. A few months pass and suddenly the version of them you knew is gone, replaced by someone new.
3. Moms are rarely in the photos. Thousands of images fill the camera roll, but somehow the person holding everything together is often missing from the story.
4. The photos matter deeply to her. Not because she wants perfect pictures, but because she wants proof that she was there too. That she loved them this much. That they loved her back.
5. The most meaningful moments are rarely posed. They’re found in laughter, in messy living rooms, in bedtime stories, in tiny hands reaching for yours. Real life doesn’t stop and smile for the camera, and that’s exactly what makes it beautiful.

Because one day, these won’t just be photographs.

They’ll be reminders of the season you’re living right now, the one that feels exhausting and endless, yet somehow slips through your fingers all at once.

Being their mom is my favorite title in life. A front row seat to watching them grow, learn, and become who they are meant to be. How honored I am to be their mom.

Motherhood is found in the everyday moments. The appointments, the late night Googling to make sure they’re okay, the meltdowns, and the two hours it somehow takes just to get out the door.

But it’s also in the little arms running toward you when you walk into a room, the bedtime kisses, and the constant “Mom, watch this” moments because they just want you to see them.

And somehow, the ordinary and exhausting parts become the sacred parts too. Thank you for giving me the best title, mom.

I love you to the moon and back 🌙
Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

Sisters. Half of you, lives in half of me,
stitched into my soul in ways words can’t explain, a quiet knowing that I am never walking alone.

The magic of sisterhood ✨

Sisterhood is something woven deep into my soul. There’s a sacredness to it, an unspoken bond that feels like both a gift and a responsibility.

In this season of life, I’m surrounded by it in the most beautiful ways. I’ve watched my mom and her sister show up for each other through the good, the hard, and everything in between, steady, unwavering, and full of love.

I get to walk through life alongside my own two sisters, leaning on each other, cheering each other on, and holding space when it’s needed most.

And now I get to raise a pair of sisters too.
There’s something incredibly humbling about witnessing a relationship that will outlive me. It brings a deep sense of peace knowing they will always have each other, especially in the moments when life feels heavy.

As we step into the Rooted in Life retreat this weekend at , I’m holding space for a sisterhood that doesn’t have to be by blood to be real. That when women come together with open hearts, something deeply rooted begins to grow.

My hope is that every woman who walks through those doors feels seen, supported, and leaves with a sense of connection that lingers long after the day, an extension of sisterhood she can carry with her into everyday life. 🧡

Welcome to the (https:// www.instagram.com/explore/tags/
LayersOfLoveLoop/) — We’re a community of alumni connected by our love for cinematic storytelling.
We find beauty in the narrative depth of daily life, and while each of our styles is beautifully unique, we all share the same goal: to weave light, composition, and emotion into a photograph that feels like a remembered scene.
Our stories may be different, but each one is worth telling.

This past year, the Year of the Snake, has been about shedding.
Shedding layers. Expectations. Old ways of moving through life, work, motherhood. Did you know snakes even shed the skin covering their eyes?
It feels like a reminder that growth isn’t always about becoming more, but about learning to see differently. I’ve learned that I carry my own fire, a steady presence that makes my art and experience uniquely mine.

Creative souls spend so much of their time filling other people’s cups, holding space, creating meaning, giving more than they often realize. They hold and feel the most emotions, and it’s seen and released through their art. Over time, that kind of giving can leave us feeling tired, burnt out, and disconnected from the spark that once felt effortless.

As we close this year and step into the next with a new layer and a new set of eyes, I want to share something created with deep intention.
A soulful retreat designed for the creatives who need to be poured into.
For the ones craving inspiration, grounding, and honestly, a warm hug.
A space to rest, to feel nourished, and to reconnect with your fire so you can step into busy season feeling rooted, inspired, and lit from within.

I want you to leave feeling grounded.
Seen.
With a spark gently reignited, and a new light through which to see your work and yourself.

Save the date - April 19th . More to come in the new year about this soulful retreat.
