Dear Studio Owner,
My name is Alexandra Koltun, and I am the Artistic Director of Koltun Ballet Boston.
After graduating from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, I joined the Mariinsky Ballet and went on to perform as a principal dancer with Deutsche Oper Ballet (Düsseldorf), Bavarian State Theater (Munich), and Boston Ballet. Following my stage career, I served on the faculty of Miami City Ballet and later became Artistic Director of The Royal Ballet School of Antwerp. In 2012, I founded Koltun Ballet Boston, where I continue to teach and mentor young dancers.
Having spent countless hours in the studio throughout my dancing and teaching career, I developed a deep passion for photography. Over the years, I have captured endless moments of movement and artistry, and I have now expanded this passion into a new professional venture — dance photography. With my understanding of both technique and timing, I strive to create images that perfectly capture the essence of dance movement.
I have built a professional photo studio at my school, where I offer private photo sessions for dancers — including audition photos, headshots, Nutcracker portraits, fine art photography, and special projects.
Because many dancers are always in need of updated, high-quality photos, I am now offering the opportunity to visit dance schools across the country and bring these professional sessions directly to your students.
Here are the session details:
$350 per dancer for 4 fully edited digital photos (on a USB drive or Dropbox)
$100 per additional photo
Minimum 15 students per visit
1–2 studio days, depending on enrollment
Costumes and props provided
10% of proceeds returned to the host studio as a thank-you
All equipment, travel, and accommodations are handled by us
Additionally, I can offer a 2-hour Master Class for your students for $300.
